I want very much to love this place. Unfortunately, every time I seek out a product I need, the don't have it. As an herbalist for over 20 years and having worked in the Health & Wellness industry in places very much like this one, I'm always disappointed. The staff never seems to know much about their products & the ones I need are never there. I keep trying though. The bread is great but the store over all could be So much better.

3 plates of food from the kitchen this lunch time 1 small plate toddler size 1 adult size 1 older kid size 57.00 lady in back is ripping people off giving other people discounts not family friendly prices especially if you are vegan I feel ripped off won't be supporting this store been few years been shopping prices are waaay to high more then whole foods.

I was in the store this afternoon and took one of the two gluten free pumpkin cakes out of the freezer to check the expiration date, as both of them were covered with a thick sheet of frost on the top, and I was concerned that they might have a freezer-burn taste and that I might be sorry that I bought it. There was a young woman employee right across from me, stocking the cooler shelves, so I asked her about the frost and the expiration date (I only saw a little sticker with a number on it which didn't look like a date). She seemed really reluctant to be helpful and told me "I'm putting things away, go ask the cashier up front", and when I asked again if she just knew if there was an expiration date that I wasn't seeing, she briefly said something about a "Julian calendar", which I never heard of, so I asked her what that was. She impatiently told me to check the paper near the bread in the front of the store and to match the code to it. Then rolled her eyes as I said thank you, and started walking away to check it. Then the cashier Diana didn't seem to be very clear on the store policy in case the cake did taste freezer-burnt. I did not like how the employees seemed so uninterested in being friendly and helpful. It's a shame that the store offers such nice, healthy options, yet the customers are treated with an unhealthy, toxic attitude. I would just let it go, but this is not the first time I have encountered rude, inept customer service.

I had heard about this bakery. While traveling through the area we stopped and our heard 7 loaves of a variety of breads/rolls.After returning home and placing them in the freezer I was disappointed that all 7 of the bags had mold, some worse than others. Since it was hundreds of miles away, I had no recourse but to throw my money in the trash. Don’t be fooled or buy if close to expiration date

They now add wheat to their breads! :( I'm a holistic health practitioner and have been recommending Deland Bakery bread products to my patients for many years as a healthy, WHEAT FREE and RICE FREE bread that also tastes amazing. For some baffling, unknown reason, they now add wheat to their products!!! Hundreds of my patients nationwide who used to have it shipped to them ongoing are extremely disappointed and cannot eat it anymore. Such a shame to ruin your wonderful products!! It's been very disappointing for many.

I discovered the hard way that Deland has begun to add WHEAT flour to their products. The new “gluten free” millet bread has way too many ingredients in it that I cannot eat. To say I am disappointed is an understatement - this used to be the only brand I could safely eat. Don’t change what does not need to be changed!

Love the homemade bakery bread here- plus they’ve got a great natural candle assortment & beeswax blocks if wanting to make your own!! Have gotten great products here from vitamins/supplements, to candles, and gorgeous succulent houseplants!! Great local natural whole food store!!

I have heard many good things about this Bakery. And I have purchase their bread in other health food stores And enjoyed them. Today Sunday July the 30th my wife and I visiting DeLand and we decided to stop in to pick up some bread. I believe this is not the norm, upon walking through the doors I could only find two bags of their famous bread oatmeal sliced bread and Millet Bagels. We purchase the Bagels and some organic mangoes. On the way back home I reached in the bag and pulled out a bagel and ate it when I got home I grabbed another Bagel to cut it and put it in the toaster. Only to find out it was riddled with green mole spots. Shortly after that I spent a considerable of time visiting the bathroom. I don't know if it the result of realizing I had eaten moldy bread. Or that I truly got sick from eating it. Regardless of the reason I was greatly disappointed with the product and the store.

Been ordering from Deland for years and love the Zucchini Millet bread and dinner rolls. I am sensitive to gluten and their breads don’t bother me and taste so good. Clean ingredients and my kids love them too!

I have had a very positive experience with Deland Bakery. The millet bagels are so good; much better than I expected and I am a bagel fanatic! Through email they kept me informed about the order’s progress and the bagels were delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The only reason I did not rate them as 5 is because the shipping 5 is too high.

I have been ordering from Deland for over 5 years and it's the only bread my family and I like to have. We order in bulk every two months and enjoy the bread just like fresh because it freezes so well. Our favorites include the all natural selection: oatmeal bread, cinnamon raisin bread, millet dinner rolls, hamburger rolls and hot dogs!! You must try it to believe it :)
