“Where should I begin? Firstly, there's a Sri Krishna temple, then there are the cows. One can bring bananas and carrots and feed them. There are places to sit and meditate or reflect if one wishes. There's a lake. The devotees are friendly and kind. There's prasadam after service is over. The entire place has a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. I am at peace when I'm there.”
“The best vibe in Deland for animal lovers. There have been many improvements to the property. The animals are clean, healthy and safe. The staff and new management are kind, hard working and giving this sanctuary new life.”
“Please make sure that when doing a review, you're reviewing the right branch. The Salvation Army West Volusia in Deland doesn't have a thrift store or take furniture. They only take clothing, shoes and non perishable food items that are not expired since they're a small branch. The food pantry will be serving on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. till 3 p.m. or until they run out of food. Utility assistance is available. If you need to work community hours, they can help you with that. When it comes to food drives, they serve until they run out of food and usually over 400 cars show up. The office opens at 9 a.m. closes at 3 p.m. On Fridays they close at 12 p.m. Please call them if you have questions.”

“Lots of home improvement supplies, but also have the usual thrift store finds like electronics, media, housewares and other knickknacks. Prices are fair and staff is kind.”
“I found Trish at Patty's Parrot Palace because I was looking for someone to board my mother's African Gray parrot that is 30 years old since I was dealing with getting my mother's belongings and house cleaned out so that my mother could move to Michigan and seeing how I Couldn't have a parrot in a hotel and my mother was in the hospital. I found Trish online I went and met with her, and immediately felt this was the right place to have them. Watch my bird, Noel. I will not say this about many but I will say this about trish. Someone who should be turned into a saint. Is this woman she has taken on? Almost 300 parrots runs it as a nonprofit. Plus she also does the boarding and many other things a person that's willing to take on the responsibility to take care of the needs of so many parrots and give them a FOREVER HOMEdeserves to be a saint.
If you have a parent that you are in need of someone to take care of it, Trish's the person for you. And if you are looking for someplace to volunteer or donate, Patty's Parrot Palace is the place for you. It is a well worth
Your time to volunteer and your money for a good cause.”
