The staff is a mixed bag. Some were knowledgeable, some not so much, and some were straight up misleading. Never mind all that. My complaint is that I talked to a guy and told him exactly what I wanted, and asked about how soon it could be delivered. He said it could be delivered the next day. Then I asked if there would any problem with me taking the mower home today, if I get my own trailer. He said no problem except they do some kind of 20-30 minute inspection before selling the mower, so I needed to give them a heads up before showing up. I told him this call is the heads up. I want the mower, and I’m driving there right now. He said no problem. I get to the business, and the mower I told them I wanted was sold, and the other mower (same model, but a bigger deck) had paint chips missing and rust. If I’m dropping $10k on a mower, I want it to be pretty much perfect…I guess I’m weird that way. So now I’m driving back home at the end of a wasted day. Two stars because there were 2 helpful workers. I didn’t buy anything there and I won’t now.

Called up 1 day ago for a part. The gentleman said there were plenty of parts in stock. Upon driving up to the store the girl had issues pulling up the part on the computer. After a few minutes of looking for a part number I had to give her since the system did not have i, she came back that she could not locate the part. At the counter they gave the generic response, who did you speak with response. It does not matter. The other person found the part on the system and in the shop the first time. People must not care that it is a complete inconvenience and waste of time, money, frustration dealing with brick and mortar shops that cannot produce results. How about for all of the times that were wasted on “unfounded” parts from paying customers who traveled a distance or not recoupe by offering for the expense of fuel from not finding parts that were “there” and “in stock” the day before. What a waste. Go out of business with the inflated prices. Not justified, and will buy online from now on. Go go gadget Skynet.

Had our mower for 2 weeks stated they couldn't get part for a mower less than a year old. I called manufacturer who sent part to us immediately. Also returned mower without spark plug..

Went into Southern PowerWorks this week to purchase my first weed-eater and immediately noticed the cleanliness of the store and the attentiveness of the staff.Trey educated me about reliable Stihl equipment so I would feel confident in my purchase. He even started it up and ensured all fluids were full, talk about customer service!!I will definitely have all of my equipment serviced here and recommend you do the same!

Took my bad boy zero turn lawn mower for an oil change they recommended after 8 hours of use and to put the belt back on that came off. they told me it would be two weeks out and got it done in two days. so good job on that but when I picked it up they replaced the blades ,air filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs on a mower that was six months old and had only mowed 4 yards. I only asked for a oil change and to put the belt back on the rest was done without my approval. I asked to see the old parts and they said they already trashed them

We highly recommend Southern PowerWorks in DeFuniak Springs, FL! Lynette, Trey, and staff took great care of us and our older Ryobi riding lawnmower needs. Thankfully they also offer pickup and drop off service, to and from our home since we had no way of getting it to them. They stand by their word and had the lawnmower back to us exactly when they said would and it looked better than when it was picked it up. The cost to repair was a lot less than expected and they didn’t try to sell us anything extra. This gets bonus points and builds trust. Trey even took the time to provide helpful tips about proper lawnmower care.
A shoutout and thank you, for an excellent customer service experience, honest business practices, quality repair, and making the whole process simple from the get go.
We look forward to doing more business with you in the future and grateful to have found your company for all of our lawn and garden equipment repairs. ????

A1 top notch professionals. I'm originally from Miami, FL and as far as I'm concerned this shop is professional, knowledgeable with friendly service that could hold their own in any town, or city. In a town that has been less than what I would have expected Southern PowerWorks has been a bright light in an otherwise dark place. You can relax knowing your equipment is in capable trustworthy hands.
