Went today on 10/25/24 and there was a substitute vet. The normal vet that takes care of my animals has always done a good job but this substitute vet was more caring and had a better "bedside" manner when I got bad news about my cat. Overall, this vet clinic is awesome. I have received the same great service in the past from Walton Animal Clinic with Dr. Baumgardner (who is totally awesome) but my vet bill was always about double than this vet. Thanks for taking care of me even if the news was bad.

I’ve been with this vet for a long time. They have neutered many of my animals and took great care of them, but i brought my dog in the other day and the experience pushed me away completely. I brought my dog in for an infection that i was not able to afford surgery for elsewhere and the doctor, I believe his name is David, took one look at my dog and began berating me and basically called me a bad owner. I had to interrupt him to get a word in edgewise and after telling him about my financial situation, he was nice. I don’t understand how you can belittle someone before you know the entire story, but it was extremely unprofessional and rude. They used to be kind here but now they’re not.
Also, if you’re looking for a vet option, go to Panhandle Vet Services in Chipley. They’re kind, considerate, i’ve never had a bad experience with them. Their emergency services are astounding as well and they will NOT turn your pet away unlike this place, which i’ve read is a common occurrence.

I was recommended by a friend to take my dog here when paw was hurt. They we are so nice and helpful and now my girl is on the road to recovery and healing. My wife was very impressed with the Doctor and staff as well. Very professional and helpful. I will definitely be recommending Faithful Friends Animal Clinic to all of my friends and family. Thank you all.

Brought my dog in we recently rescued from the pound who was recently spayed by them, they did a hack job and the incision line started bleeding, brought her to best friends this morning to have it fixed. They turned her away while my dog bled on there floor. They might be able to handle shots but I don't think there qualified to handle any actual vet work.
Edit, another terrible experience, not by me but by my mother in law. Had a cat that was having some serious issues, this worthless joke of a vet ONCE AGAIN refused to see the cat. After being turned away she called the vet in Geneva asking if they had any openings, they said no but recognized that the cat would die if not treated and told her to come anyway. They have since treated her cat and he is making a recovery. It's crazy what a buisness that actually cares about animals can do. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THEESE QUACKS OR RISK YOUR PETS LIVES.

I am new to this city. My cat is not well. They turned me away in a very rude, pushy manner. I felt like I was getting the bum's rush out the door. If you are too busy then say that... don't be outright rude. If this is the way the people are here maybe I need to move again.

My dogs have been going here for 7+ years.
Me: She's acting like her stomach hurts really bad, I came here right away.
Him: (Squeezing her stomach) No, it's not her stomach. She probably just has a sore back.
Me: Why would her back be sore?
Him: Why do any of us get a sore back? It happens.
Me: The scale out front shows she lost 12lbs since her dental cleaning 2 months ago. She feels hot and she yelped when she got up off the couch. She barely was able to get into the car, she's acting like her stomach hurts.
Him: We don't have time to see her today. I don't have time to sedate her for xrays, we'll have to schedule something for another day.
Me: Can you take her temp for me, please.
Him: Sure. (Leaves the room annoyed and sends the tech in.)
Tech: She does have a fever, it's 104.5. Let me go tell the doctor real quick.
Tech: (comes back) He said we don't have time to see her today. We can schedule you for the day after tomorrow. If you want her to be seen today you'll need to take her somewhere else.
Me: Okay, I'll take her somewhere else.
At OnPoint Emergency Vet where they instantly gave her water and affection, performed xrays without sedation, bloodwork, and two ultrasounds. Diagnosed with a dilated intestinal fold. Her stomach did hurt.
She's sick again. Call Faithful Friends July 1st, 2024 and schedule her appointment for the next day.
Me: (to the receptionist) She seemed to get better after being sick but she's sick again. Her stomach is upset and she's not acting like herself.
Him: What seems to be the problem?
Me: She's not acting like herself, I think her stomach hurts again. Her nose has been dry for four days. She's playing and eating normal but I noticed she's been napping more. The tech just took her temp and she's 105°. She had diarrhea inbetween firmer stools for the past 5 days, and it looked like there was blood in her stool yesterday. I brought a sample from this morning. And she's lost almost 20lbs since March according to the scale out front.
Him: (Flipping through her file) Ahh, she has a history of eating things she shouldn't and getting an upset stomach. We have a case in 2019, some diarrhea in 2020, 2022 yeahhh she probably just has a bit of colitis. We'll get her some meds going to firm up her stool and calm her stomach.
Me: But when she ate things in the past I knew what it was and I haven't seen her eat anything lately. She does eat my ouchless hairties sometimes but she always passes them. And she's lost a lot of weight. Could she have a partial blockage or something?
Him: (Nonchalant) If it was a blockage she would have already succumbed to it. And I like her better at this weight.
Me: But what if it's something more serious? What if she has cancer? Her white blood cells were high when they did bloodwork at OnPoint.
Him: (Dismissively) They weren't THAT high, that's not even a concern.
The next day Charleigh took a turn for the worse. It took Faithful Friends three phone calls from myself and the hospital and four hours to send her file to the hospital. The hospital performed an xray, without sedation, that revealed her liver and its ducts were significantly enlarged, her spleen was distorted, she had fluid surrounding all these organs including her heart and lungs. When the fluid was drawn through her chest wall, it was the color amber. Charleigh had cancer. Badly.
Maybe he could have done something. Maybe he couldn't have. But what he absolutely could have done is shown more concern for my Charleigh than he did. He could have taken my concerns seriously instead of dismissing me like I was overreacting. Maybe he's burnt out on being a doctor, maybe his

Diagnosed my dog with aural hematoma...when the initial treatment wasn't working & she was getting worse to the point of not being able to hold her head up straight, they told me I probably needed to find someone else who could see her sooner. Couldn't even talk to anyone on the phone, ended up texting me that they'd be happy to send her records & hope she improved really soon...yep sounds like it!

My dog is 1 1/2 he has been going to this vet since he was born. He somehow has caught parvo even though he is vaccinated. This vet turned my dog away. They are okay for routine care but you better hope your dog does not get very sick they will not and can not help you.
