I had Robert come to my house to take a look at a painting that I have had in the family for 100+ years. Robert said, the painting was only worth $200 and was not even saleable. He said, he would take it off my hands for $25. Well, mama did not raise a fool, so I had a second opinion. Long story short, my painting sold for $10,500.00 at auction. AVOID ROBERT! No values, moral or ethics...besides he REEKED of BOOZE! How disgusting! Sorry Individual!

Although Robert and I can conflict because of our personalities at times I really think he is a terrific and very knowledgeable antique dealer really really knows his stuff. Also his prices are excellent in value. WD

I have bought from Robert for several years and have always gotten a very good deal from him. He has always been honest with me and he has excellent prices. When I am in town his store is the first place I visit to see his unique inventory.

And being from out of town and having done business in the Tri-County area for many years. A couple of the dealers I did not have good feedback about Roberts antiques As they were pretty negative. I'm not one to pass judgment until I actually have the experience with a business or individual. Well, it was a very interesting experience. I brought in three watches, one of them was an 18 karat gold watch. I told him that I wanted to sell them and he took a look. To my surprise, he offered me $250 for all three. But the problem is that the gold watch is worth multiple thousands of dollars on a good day. I told him that it was not enough money for me to sell them and we go elsewhere for a second opinion. He proceeded to tell me that no one else would give him as much money as he would because they all would rip me off LOL I surely was disappointed but I do have to say the guy has the gift of gab and will pull the wool over your eyes if he has the chance.As they say, behind the mask there is always a different person and he is one!
