I Was recently in the market for a new motorcycle, as well as a new bank. I thought i'd give Space Coast Credit union a look. My credit is good and i make pretty good money, i also have a low DTI. I applied for a motorcycle loan with Space coast, with hopes of bringing my savings and direct deposit to them as well. Its a lot easier to do all your banking in one place. I was shocked to get a denial from space coast on the motorcycle loan! so here are the facts. Credit score almost 700, DTI at 10%, 72K a year in salary and my home is paid for. When i asked why i was told that 3 years ago i had a repo on my credit. This is true, but you deny me for one Voluntary repo 3 years ago?? (which by the way i sued the dealer for and the case is currently being settled in my favor.) I'm the guy you want to lend money to! Maybe i should have looked at the reviews before I wasted my time! my fault there..Don't waste your time here, its a real shame that we have given CU'S and banks so much power! don't borrow from them...and they wont survive! You guys at space coast really messed this one up! I would have been a loyal customer with money to bring to your bank that needs to be moved from other accounts. I know underwriters aren't the brightest bulbs in the bunch, but you guys really messed up this one. would not recommend! id give zero or negative stars if i could!

This credit union is not the best they are not very helpful at all terrible customer service I spoke to some lady name Jessie who is very rude she constantly over-talked me didn’t care to hear me out on what my initial request was then when I corrected her she said she couldn’t help at all and the branch wouldn’t be able to help. Ended up speaking with someone else that understood exactly what the request was and helped me. It’s been multiple issues with this customer service I would never treat my customers this way. Do better Spacecoast

They are helpful with good lending rates. Some business is conducted over the phone as the main bank is located in Merritt Island. I have been with them about 25 years. All of our cars loans have gone through smoothly.

Absolutely Terrible Bank !. The Employees Inside The Back Are Very Rude , You Wate In Line And When The Person Is Done And Leaves Then I Walked Up To The Teller She Screamed At me I'm Bussy So I Turned Around To Get back In Like, Three People Shook Three Heads 4 People Left The Back The When She Was READY, She Was Not Doing Any Thing To Beginning With ? I Let The Person Behind Me Go And Wanted For The Next Teller I Opened A Checking Account Over The Phone The Night Before Was There To Sign The Paper Work And Was Getting Screen At All Ready???. Then The Teller Tells Me The Paper Work Is Not Completed ? I Told The Girl I Did It Over Phone Last Night He I Am Faxing It Now Go To The Bank Will Have My Application Before They Even Open, She Made 5 Phone Calls And They A Half Hour Later This Lady Comes Over To Me And Said She Was So Sorry The Teller Just Started And Didn't Know What She Was Doing , I Couldn't Believe She Said That To Me With Everyone Else Herded What She said, So We Go In A Little Room And I Sing This Sign That And She Hands Me All This Paper Work, Didn't Till Me How To Call In And Check My Account Balance? Did Say They Had A Special When You Open A Checking Account With Direct Deposit You Get A $200:00 Hundred Dollars Bonnie's Was At The Bank Today She Ackecd Like She Did Know What I Was Talking About Except The $200;00 Hundred Dollars Bonice She Said I Had To Qualify The Lady Didn't Say Anything About Qualification, But The Tell Said I Did Qualify I Said Where's My Two HOUNDRED , And There Outher ATM. Michens You Can Use At Outher Stores A Not Get Charged A Fee , There Vistar OMG I Can't Believe It Vistar ATM Michenes Never Work What A Screed Up Bomk ???

I would not recommend SCCU to a friend. SCCU still utilizes a $30 Late fee per transaction. Bank of America charges $35 per week that an account is negative. Overdraft fees are becoming a thing of the past. Capital One, Ally, Discover Bank, Axos, Alliant, and Wealthfront have zero overdraft fees. I moved my money to Ally, where I am not charged an overdraft fee if my account stays under (250.00 with direct deposit). I was charged a total of $360.00 in overdraft fees in one month. When I received four overdraft fees in one day, I removed my direct deposit from my checking account. That would have taken over half of my paycheck, causing me to become more negative in the account in the long run, in order to pay rent and have the ability to eat. No wonder the country is suffering. It isn't only from inflation and layoffs. It is greedy banks trying to make as much as they possibly can off of the struggling working class.

have been with SCCU for Over 20, many loans, checking n saving, these people are Great. if I had to choose of banking Anywhere it be SCCU, Mainly Because of Manager, Michelle

Horrible the Daytona area has the worst selection for credit unions. No share branching at any of the locations, and the ones that say they do tell you we only do that through the ATM which is a lie because it doesn't allow you to do it!
