Came here a few weeks ago and ended up adopting the sweetest guy ever. Everything went really smooth all the workers were super helpful. He's happy, healthy and settled into his new home really fast.

I expected better. People are rude and the cages aren't cleaned out while staff is just walking around ignoring people

It is no wonder so many animals are put to sleep every year. Shame on all humane societies. Charging up to $300 to adopt an animal is so wrong. The max adoption fee should be no more than $75. Not up charging depending on the breed. I understand that you need money to run the society. Just a bunch of lazy people in charge. Need to work harder to raise the money and apply for grants. I see one event planned for Halifax. Shame on you. Get off your butts and get some fundraisers put together and stop your ridiculous pricing on the animals.

Very nice facility with wonderful caring staff. There is a separate room for cats, small dogs and then larger dogs. There's also a room for other animals (lizards, birds, etc). They give all the animals such good care. This is the second time I have adopted from them because of their care. If you're thinking of adding an animal to your family, I highly recommend a visit to this facility!

Had a great experience. Dale was really helpful in explaining what the dog I was adopting will need and how the dog acted. Dale also explained about the medication my dog needed to take he was absolutely professional, in my opinion Dale needs a raise he goes above and beyond to explain everything. Thank you Dale, love my new friend keep up the good work.

Found out that the humane society rough ride is being scaled down to a cheesy run after 30 years

I can't thank the staff enough for helping me out with an injured cat today! This is the second cat in a week I received a call that was injured and after the vet bill from last week and that cat needing surgery there was no way I could afford to take him to a vet! They took him immediately brought him in evaluated him under sedation cleaned his wounds stitched him up and he is already ready to go to his colony mom!She will be keeping him in until he is 100% healed and hopefully by then he won't want to go back outside ever again!Thank you to the staff the vet you guys are absolutely amazing and I can't thank you all enough!!!What a huge difference now that the old CEO is gone! The TNR program is back and animals are getting the proper care! Thank you all involved in helping this baby today!!!Jaime

Busy. Chaotic. The most important part is Bud's neutering is done. He is healing and well. They gave us the meds he needed to get through the first week or so. Overall not a bad experience. They did a good job.

Very helpful staff, the shelter is way over capacity, adopt a new baby today. Adopt don't shop, Opt to adopt. These animals need homes more than a breeder needs your money. Pictures of my new furbaby, Moses (formerly Ivan) are below.

This is one of the best animal shelters I've ever seen.We adopted a cat from here and will come back for a dog or a cat in the future. They provide excellent care and plenty of love for animals.

Made an appointment online for our Lab to be neutered at their clinic. Got an appointment quickly and completed all necessary paperwork online to streamline the checkin process. They are very efficient and provide all instructions for pre and post surgery. Everything went smoothly and my pup has recovered fine after 3 weeks. Can't beat their rates too.
