The Halifax Humane Society, a nonprofit organization founded in 1937, is a caring and dedicated animal shelter serving the Greater Daytona Beach area. It is an open-door shelter, welcoming animals in need and providing a safe place for over 30,000 animals each year. The shelter has a capacity for about 350 animals daily, although it is often full. It features a spay/neuter clinic, performing early-age surgeries to ensure all adopted animals are altered before going to their new homes. Visitors frequently praise the staff for their kindness and helpfulness. Many describe their experiences as positive, highlighting the caring attitude of the team. The shelter is known for going above and beyond, whether helping people claim lost pets, assisting with rescues, or providing support during difficult times. For example, staff helped reunite microchipped dogs with their owners and supported a person who lost a beloved pet. The intake process is quick and smooth, whether someone is bringing in a stray kitten or adopting a new pet. Overall, the Halifax Humane Society is seen as a wonderful place that cares deeply about animals and the community. Every staff member is described as super nice and caring, making it a trusted and loving environment for animals and people alike.
Today I they gave me 25lbs of dog food, but in order for them to keep helping we need to get our pet fixed 😫 spayed/neutered. No family for our pup.
