In 2014 my husband purchased a loose diamond from Green's to be made into an engagement ring. We were given an EGL certificate (which since went out of business for being untrustworthy) stating it was earth-mined and its qualities and charged appropriately for its rating at roughly $7500 for the loose stone. For its rating, the stone has always had a very yellow tinge to it. I recently took it to a new jeweler to get the stone swapped to a whiter one. They examined my original stone which they were going to put towards my purchase, and asked me if I knew it had been "treated". Confused, I asked what that meant, and they told me it had been filled with glass pockets inside to make it look better. Then, I took it to 2 more appraisers who confirmed it had been treated when we purchased it. When I called Greens to ask about this and see if I could come in, a woman on the phone, presumably the daughter who took the store over, screamed at me, called me a liar, said it was impossible, and hung up. I am fairly sure the 3 separate appraisals I had were not lying. Regardless, I was willing to bring it in and have them examine it and make the situation right. Due to how she treated me on the phone and her inability to even listen, I am now forced into writing this review. While she wasn't present when the diamond was originally sold, it still clearly was, and I have a receipt from their shop. It was sold by one of the men who have since retired. Greens used to be a location my family would frequent, as they were friends of my grandfather, which is why I trusted them to begin with. Now I have a diamond that we paid $7500 for that is worthless due to the glass filling, that I should have been notified about when purchasing, and certainly not screamed on the phone that I'm a liar. I have paperwork from them that said they honor lifetime trade ups for the original amount, but of course they won't honor that, knowing the diamond wasn't worth anything to begin with. I will also be filing paperwork with the BBB and state attorney general.

Staff is awesome and has fixed my watches asap while i wait. Also i got my wife's engagement ring (20 years ago) at Bill Green and he went as far as to lay a bunch of diamonds out on the table and let me pick which one i wanted. It was a really cool experience that made me feel great about spending my hard earned money. I highly recommend this place

I've used this place many times and I'm done giving them my money. First thing, they didn't bother to tell me they are only open 2 days a week for 4 hours and could have did a better job displaying those hours. I'll upload the pics, second I've used this place too many times to be treated like a potential thief when I walk in. It's my urban apparel and haircut, I'm sure my partner being black is as also why they stalk me. My necklace repair was sub par there are still shards of gold poking out as if the chain wasn't soldered properly. I talked to them about all these issues and bringing to their attention how many times I've been there and expect a better experience each time but it only gets worse. They charge a lot too for very simple work that would take other jewelers a 2/3 of the time they take and cost a third less. Anyways Jessup's is right across the street and I learned they do repairs. I will go there to buy and repair my jewelry from now on. May not mean much to Bill Green Jewelers but you have lost my business. You know a small business is bad when they make you feel as if they don't give a care at all about the money you spend with them or the fact they lost a frequent return customer.

I’ve known the family for many years & Bill Green Jewelers is a wonderful place to purchase jewelry. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and very helpful. Their jeweler repair person reconstructed a bracelet of mine into a beautiful necklace, keeping the intricate design intact.

The clasp on my favorite gold chain was broken, my husband called your jewelry store and was told it would be fixed by the next day. I was really impressed with that service. To my surprise my necklace was fixed while we waited. We have never experienced such service before. We have already told our friends if they need jewelry repairs or nice jewelry Bill Green Jewelers is the place to go. Thank you again for the great service.

I have visited Bill Green's for over 12 years. Their staff and service has been very good. The products they sell are the quality I expect and the clocks are very nice. Chuck is exceptional at his job with knowledge and honesty that convinced me to bring my clocks not purchase from Bill Green. I will continue to shop here.
