I needed to take some time before coming on here to discuss my experience here. I’ve been coming here since 2021 and had nothing but good things to say about it. After Dr. Wilson started it’s gone down hill. My dog got sick in March following his 11th birthday. He was having excessive watery diarrhea 5x a day. We took him in and they prescribed some antibiotics and medication to help thicken up his stool. His symptoms didn’t improve at all, and during his antibiotics course he developed a UTI. I was confused how this would happen if he’s already on antibiotic so I got him cranberry supplements and it cleared in just a few days. This however, made me consider that maybe hes antibiotic resistant. I believe the antibiotic course was 1.5/2 weeks ish and when he finished them I called again and made another appointment which they classified as the emergency appointment (even though I wanted to schedule a regular appointment since he was fine in spirits and the dramatic upcharge was not necessary) but the lady on the phone insisted I get him in as soon as possible. We got for the appointment and sit in the room for an hour before we’re even seen. I explain that the medication isn’t working and that I believe he’s antibiotic resistant and that I’d like to explore other options and treatments available. She says ok, goes to the back and leaves us for another half hour only to come back with more antibiotics. I’m beginning to get frustrated and I’m telling her I’d like to try something else. She kept telling me he probably ate something when I wasn’t looking or it was a stomach bug. I assured her he couldn’t have eaten something because he is a Velcro dog and is at my hip 24/7 and our trash is inside a closed cabinet he can’t access. They take him back to asses him and the nurse comes to tell me he has a double ear infection and I need to buy ear cleaner and ear antibiotic cream. Again I’m confused because he usually shows very obvious signs of an ear infection with excessive head shaking and scratching and he had done none of that. I decline the ear cleaner since I already have an entire bottle. Then they try to get me to buy probiotics powder from Purina but I had told Dr. Wilson I had already tried that exact stuff and it hadn’t worked either but the nurse insisted I should get it. I declined again. Then they recommended this extremely expensive blood and GI panel I had to have done that would be several hundreds of dollars because they had no idea what was wrong with my dog and they said this was my only option. I leave extremely defeated and having paid $700 with no answers. The next day he goes in for the blood panel and we wait for the results. I called once a week waiting for the results as he’s getting sicker and skinner and not showing any signs of improvement and they keep telling me the results are not back yet. At this point I’m very frustrated and I take him to my vet NC that I trust because Im getting nowhere here and it’s killing me to watch him suffer with no answers. I finally get answers 2 weeks after the blood panel and she’s says all that is wrong is he is lacking in B12. I ask for the results to be emailed to me and the date at the top says they received the results the day after my test was done not two weeks later. At the new vet the doctor did the same panel as Beville and it was $400 cheaper then Beville charged for the exact same panel and results document (And I got the results the next day). The other doctor also examined my dog and said there were zero signs of an ear infection and he was very confused why they told me he had that. He also looked over the results that Beville had emailed me and said that B12 was something I could get on Amazon if I was really concerned about that but it was not what was causing his issues. It turned out he had pancreatic cancer and he died a few months later. But I spent so much money and time waiting when he was getting sicker and sicker and continually getting ignored and wasn’t listened to. I would not trust your pets life here. They only care about money.

My beautifully bred Bull Mastiff went for an emergency visit to Beville Animal Hospital whose business name itself professes to be a hospital. My Grand Canine was experiencing rapid swelling from what appeared to be an insect bite and $800.00 later , he received very poor care , improper diagnosis and host of services that did not pertain to the emergency. Asked management via proxy for a refund of some services but not all and was told definitively NO.

My dog, Milo was deathly ill. This hospital went above and beyond to help him one lady literally went home got her big dog Remington I forget the ladies name but they donated blood to help Milo. Saving my dog, giving him a blood transfusion, and it was the quarter of the cost that another hospital was going to charge. I have already recommended Beville Animal Hospital and I will continue to recommend them. They call daily to check up on Milo, answer any and all questions. Everyone there is so nice and I am now making it Milo’s vet.

Dr Wilson did more than I expected checking on my cat’s leg. She explained it all where I understood. I got a call today checking on my cat. He is very relaxed today.

My mother and I had been bringing our babies to this location for years to see Dr Shroyer, and he was wonderful. So when Dr Wilson took over, we stayed. I always felt a little uncomfortable with her because she wasn’t very friendly and they never once examined her in front of me, and I hated that, but it was what I was used to. Eventually, my girl (19yr old cat) got sick. Without much testing, just a simple X-ray, Dr Wilson told me it could be IBD, or cancer. That I should prepare for the worst and might want to consider putting her down so she wouldn’t suffer. I was so caught off guard because of how abrupt the word cancer was dropped and by the rest as well. Then she quickly proceeded to tell me if I wanted a proper cancer diagnosis I would have to get an endoscopy with a biopsy but then continued on with how it would be too invasive and of the possibility of her not being able to survive the anesthesia and how I “don’t want to do that to her”.. I felt very guilty for even wanting to explore our options, and even when I tried to express this, she pushed her opinion onto me saying she put her own cat through chemo but would never do it again. Which I find a bit hypocritical considering I was having that option taken away from me via judgement/persuasion.
At the time, yes my cat was sick from throwing up and diarrhea but other than that she was healthy in blood work and stature. She made it sound like my cat was crying out in pain dying when she was completely her lively self. Everyone always said she looks so good for her age. So we were sent home with steroids, which helped. She stopped throwing up and the diarrhea ended, and we continued with that for almost 2 whole years while adjusting her dose. Weening her off at times and then increasing the dose during “flare ups” which was just throwing up, she never once had diarrhea again (she was 17 at the beginning of all this) but then a few weeks ago she rapidly declined and I had to rush her to the emergency vet on ridgewood. Dr Nichols and the rest of the staff was wonderful, and I started to realize the difference in care between Beville AH and other vet establishments.
A few days later we had a follow up with Dr Wilson, where she walked into the room with almost a frustrated look on her face and said “It’s probably cancer like I’d told you before” and said I’d have to put her down soon because again, I “wouldn’t want to do any invasive tests or let her suffer”. Then she said we could tell if it’s cancer with an ultrasound, then abruptly left the room and that was the last I saw her before the tech came in with a quote for the ultrasound being $700. What would be the point? Was this $700 quote thrown at me just to discourage me again of exploring options? It sure felt that way. Especially now since I was quoted less than $300 at two other locations for this ultrasound diagnosis. She hadn’t even told me what else she could do for Kiwi that day. I only learned of the treatment options when the tech showed me the bill for the day with a few things I didn’t even know would be necessary or not because we hadn’t discussed it. I left feeling so lost, and taken advantage of, and my confidence was shattered.
That was when I decided I needed a new primary vet. I ended up going to Tomoka Pines where Dr Long was like a dream come true. Even though my girl didn’t make it despite our best efforts, I at the very least felt like her and I were both cared for and reassured that I did all I could in the end. I just wish I’d found him sooner. I wish I’d sought out a second opinion two years ago.
The only positive thing about Beville AH, is the rest of the kind and very helpful staff but considering the turnover rate there, I’m sure there’s an internal issue as well.
Also, seems like any time there’s a bad review, a passive aggressive response from them follows. Even though I’ve seen quite a few bad reviews with similar experiences to mine. That speaks for itself.

Called them for a well pet check after I got my dog from the humane society which was free but upon going in they wouldn't help me whatsoever with my dog cause they now were deeming her sick due to some sneezes. Don't go here if your barely scraping by. They don't help.

I called Beville Animal Hospital and I explained to them about my emergency with my dog and how his leg was swollen. And I thought he had been bitten by something because of the intense swelling, they said to me that the fee to come in for an emergency would be $90, and then they placed me on hold and came back and said they would charge me a $120. And I agreed to that number when I got there. One of the members of the staff was extremely rude and arrogant. I was not very impressed. Then they took me in the back and they just took my dog and disappeared and left me, and my friend in a room for 45 minutes before anyone came in. When they came back, they were expressing how much his ears needed this, that, and the other thing, but never addressed his arm, which was swollen at the end of The Visit, it came to almost $800. My dogs arm was not even addressed. All they did was send me home with antibiotics. And some light treatment that they did, they never discussed that his arm could possibly swell even more by the next day, and I had to take him to the emergency room and have surgery on his arm. Where they shaved the area and put a drain and advised me that I needed a much stronger antibiotic. I do not recommend Beville Animal Hospital at all when I called back and requested a refund for the emergency room fee. And the treatment that they did that did not work, they refused to work with me. This doctor's office is very poorly run and they don't care about the animals at all. Do Not go here.I would have put Zero stars but you can't go below 1 star

Dr does not have a great bedside manor, seems to be all about euthanizing animals instead of trying to save . Extremely expensive.

I am prefacing by saying this is a glowing review, though I mention what may seem negative. My dog's surgery did not initially go smoothly. The recovery was traumatically bad. I will spare you the details because what came after more than made up for it.
This office stood by their work and made life so much easier for us, stopped at nothing to make sure our dog recovered and went well above and beyond the call of duty MONTHS into the equation to help relieve us. There was no teeth pulling and their bedside manner during our emotional periods was unparalleled.
In particular Karleena is a blessing on this planet and deserves the highest praise.
I can't overemphasize how impressed I am with their professionalism. Not once did we feel like we were imposing or asking too much. They respected every decision we made and were always working WITH us based on our beliefs, suspicions, concerns, etc, never arguing or condescending. It felt like teamwork.
Any business that takes responsibility without mincing words or passing the buck to such an extreme degree is rare to find these days. They have permanently earned our business and I would take any animal there for any reason or surgery with 100% confidence. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.
