How can you not love walking through Barnes & Noble taking in the sights and smells of new books, plus the smell of coffee. I just wish we had one closer to Port Orange so I could go more often. This particular store always looks great and the staff are friendly and helpful.

COFFEE
Today, Sunday, Mother's Day, 4pm, 2024, I ordered a caramel macchiato which was a disaster, when I asked for it to be changed they gave it to me with spoiled milk and with a bad attitude, as if my purpose was to bother them when I just wanted to a good coffee like it was sold in the Starbucks coffee chain, which is no longer the same I loved the Barnes and Noble bookstore.

Great location next to other businesses. I love that metaphysical, holistic spirituality is categorized with self-improvement and not in the religion section (even in the Bible belt).

There is nothing better then the smell of books. I love my Kindle but every so often I need a book in my hand! Something about seeing them with their colorful covers just brings a smile to my face even on a gloomy day. I enjoy looking at the different displays too because it helps me find titles to read I would have maybe never seen at all. I know some authors even slip on in and sign their books so you never know :)

Nice bookstore. I like shopping in a real bookstore, just very pricey compared to Amazon.

I recently visited Barnes and Noble in Daytona Beach to return on order I'd placed online. The clerk was courteous and quickly processed my return. I stayed a while, browsing the store before making a purchase. The store was busy with many customers at Starbucks and some casually enjoying the store in various seating areas. It was a delightful experience.

We got there about a half hour before closing and the employees were almost shoving us out the door while trying to check out. 2 of them were extremely rude and obviously not enjoying their jobs. This seems to be a management/moral issue.

It's hard too find something especially a book when you go in and it takes 15 minutes to find someone that can help you to find out their at the coffee or Starbucks hanging out in the back laughing. And when she comes out to tell you don't have it special order only. She goes out to do nothing other than to hang out in the back. No effort to order anything.... Great customer service. Amazon here I come P.S. thank you Summer

I already hate asking for help in stores, I have severe social anxiety and spent 30+ minutes looking for the book I wanted before asking for help. When I asked at the front desk, the woman let me know the section it would be in.
I looked where she sent me for another 15 minutes before I decided to ask for help again as I was now late for something. I really hate bothering workers and asking for help, and I apologized "so sorry to bother you again but I still haven't found the book"
This time, the woman doesn't even look at me, just sighs and then speed walks off into the store, RBF the whole time. She takes me to a section I didn't notice in the area she sent me to before and I thank her and apologize again. She she says nothing, thrusts the book to me, and storms off pissed looking again.
I left without buying the book because I didn't want to have to interact with the woman again at checkout and there were no other cashier's working I could go to. I don't know why she was so mad at me. You know when your therapist tells you "nothing bad will happen when you ask for help, those bas scenarios are just what your anxiety makes up" and then the exact scenario that makes you anxious about asking for help happens? I won't be back.
I said I was sorry, and it's not like I didn't try to look for it myself. I'd rather have just been told "I can't help you right now, I don't feel like it" than what happened.
