APPARENTLY if you come here with stolen checks the associates don’t even do the BARE MINIMUM to check if the person MATCHES the license they are using and will give you thousands in stolen money. So if you’re a low life thief this is the place for you!!

I recently visited Amscot to get a money order, and I had a great experience thanks to their employee, Roland. Not only did he count the money accurately—better than I could—but he also noticed that I had accidentally given him an extra $25. Roland promptly pointed out the mistake and returned the extra money to me. His honesty and attention to detail were impressive. Highly recommend Amscot and commend Roland for his excellent service!

Don't bother wasting your time at this Amscot. Just like all the other reviews they make you wait and then don't cash your check. They say "go to your bank" with absoluelty no explanation as to why they cant cash my check. If I could cash it at my bank I would of been there, unfortunately it was after business hours. Employees are rude and condescending. Drive the extra few miles and go to a different amscot.

Went there to cash my paycheck and they made me wait over 35 Minutes just to tell me I gotta come back on a Monday to get my paycheck verified. I was confused and asked why they just oh just come back Monday I went to another check cashing place and they cashed my check in a heartbeat this amscot is very unprofessional and customer service sucks her name was Melissa and she didn't even try to get it verified. Once I got to the other check cashing place it got verified within 2 minutes

On August 5 , I came in to the store and used the atm to get money out my bank account to get a money order to pay my mortgage . Upon not receiving a money order I was accused of already coming in earlier that day and getting a 1200 dollar money order . And I was informed very nasty that to get another money order I need to give them my id . Well seeing that I have not been in there for a few months I was upset and pissed . I was not even in Daytona that day and I wasn’t in there either. So, I tell them no you can’t have my id and I walk out. (I did not feel comfortable with giving my personal info out for something that did not require it and I never been ask for it for a $ 600 money order.) When I leave , my wife calls the store to talk to the manager to tell him what happened and he is rude and nasty to my wife . He cusses her out and hangs up. So we went to another AMSCOT to see if this is a new way of doing business for this company . And come to find out it’s not and the new Amscot we went to was very nice and apologetic to me and my wife for the other store actions . They told me to call the We Care number. And i purchased my money order there .Long story short ,I felt embarrassed, discriminated against for being black and disrespectedI know for a fact this store is in the “Hood” but NOT ALL BLACK PEOPLE LOOK ALIKE .If you check your cameras you would see that I have not stepped foot in the store in months . Needless to say that day either.If accusing customers is way to get their id to check to see if they owe you guys money I will not support that business plan and I will be HAPPY TO GO PAY FOR MY MONEY ORDERS ,THAN GET YOUR FREE ONES.
