This is our third time staying at this lovely property. The view is breathtaking and in the quiet part of the Daytona Beach Shores. The breakfast is always good and the staff friendly. They allow me to stay right on the beach with my service dog and that makes me happier than anything. My problem is the bait and switch that happened this time. The website says Free Parking, however, I was charged $15 a night upon arrival after prepaying?? I hate this and I hate to even put it on here but, a roach ran across the kitchen counter from a cup of coffee I left while we were at the beach and up the wall before my husband was able to catch it and flush it down the toilet. I am so sad about this and the lie about parking because we love this place. But, I digress...we may have to find a new favorite place there in the Shores. I worked at the Courtyard Marriott in Louisville, Kentucky and our property was so well maintained it doesn't seem that this property is maintained as well. There were water leaks all over, even in the breakfast area..the front entrance and a stairwell. I'm sad and I wish things had stayed as nice as they were in 2019.

We basically lived here for more than 2 months or so. Their service, food, and location is great. My husband was here for work, so we tried some airbnbs but didn’t really liked them. Our original reservation was 2-3 days since we didn’t know how it was going to go. Well, we loved it so much that we stayed here until my husband was done with work. Their staff were always welcoming and very friendly with our baby. Breakfast is delicious! My husband would go down specifically for their biscuits and gravy every morning. I hate saying, we both gained weight. ? Their manager, Marcello was very helpful when would extend the reservation. Lastly, I like the apartment set up, every time we would go out, coming back felt like home.

Don’t waste time and money with this hotel. Everything, from elevators, carpet flooring, bath tub, mattress, clothes, everything looks old and ugly.

I wanted to stay on the beach and I choose this residence Inn instead of the Delta Hotel a few miles North based on reviews. I was disappointed by the Hotel and the room. It feels like a Motel 6 without a soul on the beach. The room was in need of a lot of work and the front desk persons were not super welcoming.... this was my worse Residence Inn experience. Breakfast, kitchen and cleaning staff were very nice and professional. The pool and location was very nice too. A lot of kids though but I expected that based on the Hotel category. Ac are very loud in room and bed is not great at all.

Took my family to this Residence Inn Daytona Beach Oceanfront hotel for Labor Day weekend, because it looked nice on website. My two biggest complaints with this hotel were 1) badly needs to be updated/renovated, as rooms are rundown, dirty, stained & outdated. 2) security at the hotel is non-existent. We paid $400/night for an oceanfront room, and watched numerous non-hotel guests pull into the hotel parking lot early every morning, unload all of their beach gear, walk right into the hotel pool area, take up nearly ALL of the tables, pool chairs, and umbrellas. And not a word from any of the staff. These free-loaders made it impossible for the actual paying customers, to enjoy the amenities, as there was no room left around the pool area, no tables, and no chairs for them to use. The hotel could avoid all of this, by simply installing a card reader at all of the exterior access locations. When we mentioned this to the hotel manager, he said the public is allowed access. CLEARLY, even the manager is clueless...or simply doesn't care one bit about the comfort & security of Marriott's guests. Okay, I've gone on too long. Please, do yourself a favor, and spend your money at a better hotel...at least until Marriott gets their head out of their behind, fires the current management...and makes some renovations. Hyatt is less than a block away...and better deal for your money.

This was a nice hotel right on the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was on the beach and we had access to the beach and the pool. Great

In town for a wedding. The bartender Shelly was not scheduled to work, but came in on her day off to make our rehearsal dinner possible. 6 stars.Noteworthy details: The hotel was experiencing staffing issues at the time we were there, but we could not tell by the excellent service we received. I work in the industry and had to inquire to find out.

We had a great time. I called the day before check in to make a request and the customer service was excellent. Even though it doesn't have a balcony, the city view room has great views from every window. All of the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is clean. Thank you for our lovely stay by the beach!

I could overlook the paint peeling from the balcony railings and litter strewn around the perimeter of the parking lot, but not the service. The front desk staff is surly. The clerks on duty when we checked in. They did not greet us nor did they inform us of the breakfast time, a standard practice at all the other breakfast included Marriott properties we stayed at. And they did not properly program our key cards; I had to wait outside our assigned room with our luggage while my husband returned to the lobby to get cards that worked. Pool towels were distributed at the front desk. The clerk on duty was not pleased that we had the audacity to interrupt her lunch. Yes, she was eating lunch at the front desk while reluctantly serving guests. Our elite status with Marriott provides us with the option for a late check out on request. This property does not provide any elite status perks. There is a makeshift sign at the pool that instructs guests to return used pool towels to the front desk. Never mind that the front desk staff was not pleasant when we returned our wet towels (here I will cut them some slack), most guests either did not notice the sign or ignored it. The pool deck and furniture was strewn with used towels. You would think that the hotel management would catch on and provide a bin in which guests may place their towels. Or at least position the sign demanding returning the towels to the front desk so it faces guests as they enter the pool area, not as they leave. I understand that hotels are trying to be environmentally responsible by replacing "single serve" bath gel, shampoo, and conditioners with wall dispensers. But in our room in this hotel, the bath gel dispenser was empty, the pump on the conditioner wouldn't pump, and the shampoo dispenser was lying on the shower floor. The shower was improperly caulked and in the places where the caulk was intact It is best to forgo the free breakfast and go to the Waffle House across the street. Food that should be hot is lukewarm at temperatures below safe food handling standards and food that should be chilled aren't. Two of the $9.99 dollar store toasters were broken, and I did not see any attendant to clean the tables between guests. I recommend that you consider staying at one of Marriott's lesser brands when in Daytona. At least most of those brands have self serve waffle makers at their breakfast buffet. But avoid this prop

First off this is a dog friendly hotel . We did get an Ocean view so that's another plus . Inside of the facility is clean and up dated . Staff is very help and friendly . Like the rest of Daytona you can drive on the beach and there are also umbrellas and chairs that can be rented. The pool is good size but like the outside area is could use some love BUT it has a functioning pool unlike other facilities. I would stay here again.

We came here 2 years ago and really enjoyed our stay, the hotel views from the room and the not so crowded beach front. We booked this hotel again this year for one reason: Yuri. We love the friend we’ve made at the bar, he’s very welcoming, makes the best drinks and just a happy familiar face to see when we get back from dinner or grabbing a drink inbetween some beach time. Truly the hotels hidden gem, make sure to try one of his margaritas!

I took a video, the shower was so dirty, with mold, rust and stains. the bathtub had tiles falling off. The amenities in the shower had fallen off the wall and were laying on the floor in the shower. Water spots and soap scum was on the shower door. Holds in the carpet through out the facility. The couch was so dirty, ripped and had an odor. Never would sit on it. The railings on the patio had all the paint peeled off of it. I have been a marriotts rewards participant for years. This was the worst hotel ever. The veiws were beautiful, but I just can't get past the dirty bathroom, carpet and furniture. We didn't even stay the night. We went home. I have a video if anyone is interested in seeing it.

The rooms need a modern spruce up. The staff make up for the dated room furniture as they're attentive and very helpful.Rooms: Rooms need a modern day update.Nearby activities: Beachfront... Enough said.Food & drinks: Breakfast was great and the adult beverages were A-Ok. The bartender was a good guy.
