I dropped my car off for an appointment at 8 AM. Was called the next day at noon just for them to tell me they can’t work on my car due to its age and height to the ground. I told them over the phone that it’s modified. This was disappointing but not the issue.
When I showed to pick it up, the driver window was not working. It was working 100% when I dropped it off. Robert claims it was simply unlucky timing. I expressed my frustration with him and the only thing he offered was putting it back up with no fix to the regulator.
My girlfriend had a similar experience. She needed her AC checked, they could NOT figure out the problem and told her to come pick it up. When we got home, none of the windows worked!! They left a wire unplugged in the door panel I had to take off and plug back in.
Robert is condescending and will treat you like you have zero knowledge of your own car. I regret losing my temper but I cannot express how frustrated I am. Overall, this place is great if you want your car to leave worse than you dropped it off. Also, $225 for a diagnostic is expensive, most shops are between $100-150.

I have been driving for almost 50 years and Robert may well be the best, most honest and reasonable mechanic I have encountered. His work is always great, very reasonably priced. One time I had another shop give me a $2600 estimate. I took it to Robert and not only had they misdiagnosed the problem (my $2600 would not have touched the real problem), he found the real problem and promptly fixed it for less than half the initial estimate.
Robert has also advised me when to buy a new car. With one car, he refused to take my money to keep my car running because he said it was a waste, and he was absolutely right. What other mechanic turns down money to help his customer?
If you live near Davie Garage and you go anywhere else for repairs, you are paying too much for inferior work!

My transmission cable popped out of place, my normal shop couldn’t get me in. So I brought my car here. Let’s just say, they won me over and now have a returning customer. They got my car fixed, and found an issue my previous shop; and two other shops misdiagnosed. They told me it was my bushings, Davie Garage stated it was my right control arm. I brought it back for them to fix it a few days later. My car drives a lot better, doesn’t make noise anymore. They’re honest, reliable, and more than fairly priced.

Not the working man’s car shop I thought it was. Suggested I bring car to Carmax for a trade in rather than help w/ rust issues. Waste of time.
