UPS is becoming super greedy, How are you charging almost 5.00 to print 1 page?

This used to be my go to location, the employees were always helpful. But I’m not sure if they just moved people around or what but the employees I encountered in August 2024 were the most unhelpful, dismissive people. I walked in carrying three boxes, one which was a bigger Amazon return, one that was a small box that I already had a label for, and one that I needed to pay for. The store was empty of any other customers (for the moment, which is a rarity in this location) and I was directed to the self service stands to do my return first. Ideally I would’ve offloaded the 2 other boxes first to make it easier on myself, but no big deal, I went there first. When I went to the regular counter to deal with my other packages, the worker complained that I didn’t also scan my other package that already had a label over there. Then I was told it would cost $89 to send my last package because it was irregular (18in long tube, 2 inches wide, less than 1 pound) yet I could buy a UPS label via online methods for $10. So I left, and I won’t return to this location after using it for more than 10 years. Even if they were correct in saying shipping would be $89 and that’s all they could do, they could not have been more dismissive and rude about it. Honestly I don’t think they knew what they were doing, but I digress.
Employees are clearly annoyed by any customers who come in and don’t immediately go to the self service, as is evident by my experience as well as observing customers who walked in as I was finishing up. Everyone was IMMEDIATELY told “GO TO SELF SERVICE!” When they walked in, not even a “hello”
While the self service can be helpful to all in the store, workers and customers, when customers are blatantly disregarded it really results in a poor experience.

Today this was so much more convenient than going to my local post office due to it's location in this particular shopping area. Associates were very nice and welcoming. Definitely worth my time to come here today.

Instead of telling me your policies about taping the box up myself right when I walk in the door with an Amazon return why don't y'all do the right thing and put the ONE piece of tape on my box? Then you try to sell me a whole roll of tape for $5.... no thx, I'll drive $5 worth of gas away from you and go to the next store after stopping home and taping up the box.

Zero customer service. They make you scan Amazon returns, but still have to teach the people in how to do it. Doing double the work for nothing. Also, don't expect them to provide you a bit of tape to close a box as courtesy... Won't be returning to this location.

I wanted to return something I purchased from Amazon. Amazon did not give the option for the UPS store to print the label, so I went in (with the packaging) to print the label/tape the box and return it.
$5 to print a single sheet of paper, and $5 for a single strip of packing tape, for an item that I purchased for $30 on Amazon.
Absolutely ridiculous
