We waited for about half an hour for the airport shuttle who told us it would be a couple minutes the 2 times we called for it. We ended up giving up on the shuttle and paid for other transportation. Upon arriving, we found the check-in desk empty with no indication of when they would return. There were 2 separate groups of people also waiting. After about 10 minutes of standing there, my wife called Hyatt Place across the street to see if they knew anything since they were both Hyatt hotels. The person on the other end of the line could be heard telling someone near her that they would need to be apologizing to the "Karen" who was calling. My wife never even complained just asked if they knew what was going on or who was supposed to be there. A couple minutes later the desk clerk showed up.
Aside from the poor initial customer service the room and rest of the stay were good. This is the only Hyatt that I've stayed at where there was such poor service.

Rooms were decent and clean. Clean being the most important. We evacuated from the west coast of Florida during Milton and stayed a few days. It is also pet friendly, which is a huge plus during bad weather.

Spent one night at this Hyatt Place in Dania, FL, close to FLL. It was a mixed experience.
Getting the shuttle from airport was a nightmare. The cell connection to shuttle driver was poor and we called three times before someone eventually came. Beware there are TWO Hyatt Place locations with shuttles to/ from FLL. Be sure you get on the right one! We waited about 30 minutes in wind strong enough to blow our luggage over for shuttle at 7pm on weekday. The wait area is uncovered, and would be even more miserable experience if raining.
The reception staff was great, informed us of local restaurants, explained how to register for AM shuttle on a tablet. Be sure to do that!
The hotel sits essentially on I-95, and rooms on the freeway side are crazy loud 24/7. There doesn't appear to be insulated windows...Request a room facing parking lot, or bring earplugs, if that bothers you.
The room was clean and had both mini fridge and microwave. Shower pressure on upper floor extremely weak, but at least hot. If you are trying to wash long hair- good luck.
The AC unit in a King Room is about 15 inches from the bed . The unit in our room was actually louder than the freeway, so we eventually turned it off. It did blow very cold.
Breakfast here is outstanding for an airport hotel. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, bread assortments, etc. None of those nauseating waffles either. Good experience after the not-so-good night.
Check out was smooth, efficient, and friendly. Shuttle back to airport arrived on time with great driver.
Overall I would say this is a facility with challenges, but great staff.
Rooms: Rooms facing freeway noisy. AC units noisy. Rooms have mini fridge and microwave.
Walkability: Easy to walk to many restaurants.
Food and drinks: Outstanding breakfast.

Great location, kind service, nice rooms, and you can walk to movies, restaurants, shopping, etc. Much nicer location than the Hyatt located nearby which is confusingly called "Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port & Convention Center". The name is a trap. Stay at the one in Dania Beach, and it has a shuttle to the airport and cruise ships as well. Both require that you pay though (about $9 per person).

An awesome hotel. time we stayed at this hotel, the experience was amazing.
A very nice hotel in an amazing location close to Panda Express, Starbucks, and a massive shopping center and strip with restaurants, shops, stores, entertainment, working walking distance! So cool.
The lobby is very nice and cozy, the place seems more relaxed and tucked back instead of being on the Main Street. The Hyatt standard rooms are amazing, you have the bed, partition, and then a whole new “living room” space that has a L shaped couch and a tv you can tilt either way. You also have your desk and a kitchen like area. They utilized the space very well, kudos to the designer.
This is their basic room, they said Hyatt house has whole suites with kitchen and rooms, but their basic room is bigger, nicer, and cleaner than any IHG hotel.
Breakfast INCLUDED and they have Starbucks 24/7 with a nice little Minibar. They also have a cool gym and pool plus included parking if you’re a rewards member (likes of IHG better learn).
Anyway, next time we won’t hesitate to commit to Hyatt hotels, staff is also super nice and helpful. If you want bigger space, I believe Hyatt house is right across the street too.
Rooms: Can’t say enough. Very good design for their basic room that exceeds quality of most other comparable hotels. Their standard room is as good as most other hotel’s “suites”.
Nearby activities: Big shopping center and restaurants of all kinds within walking distance. The location is premium. I get to walk every morning around to the shopping center. You also have regal movie theater and radizio Brazilian steakhouse within 5 minute walking distance.
Walkability: Very walkable, you basically have a mini city within 2 minute walk from this location. The location is the best I’ve seen.
Food and drinks: Breakfast is nice and included. Drinks and coffee bar is also available.

Very good hotel close the airport. Rooms are spacious and clean. Aircon is a bit noisy but you can close it for the night. Bed is comfortable. Hotel has a small but adequate gym for cardio and free weights exercise. Hotel breakfast is also good. Staff is polite and friendly. Please note that some noise can come into the room from the highway near by.

Stayed 1 night after our cruise before heading to the airport to head home. Definitely recommend for short stays, proximity to the airport is very ideal. They have a FREE airport shuttle which we utilized for the 3 of us. We had a 5am flight and we let them know the day before that we would need the shuttle at 3:30am. It was ready and waiting for us at that time. They were also very accommodating. They let us check in early for our reservation which we greatly appreciated.
Rooms: The room was a good size. 2 queen sized beds and a nice sized sectional sofa. The living and sleeping area was separated by a partition/wall. The bathroom was a bit oddly designed, there was about a 2 millimeter clearance between where the door swung open and the toilet seat. At times the door would lightly tap the toilet seat as the door was swinging open/closed. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Nearby activities: There is a very nice, lively shopping area within about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. We walked through the area and bought lunch and dinner at a couple of the restaurants, and did a bit of shopping at the nearby TJ Maxx and boutiques.

Horrible experience. Starting from front desk Asian lady to the dirty old rooms. I won’t go into detail but if you care about your health and family go SOMEWHERE ELSE!! God bless I hope you listen to this good advice.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were large and the bed sooo comfortable! Breakfast is included and free shuttle running every 30 minutes to the airport 24 hours a day. You just have to sign up. I would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

Clean and comfortable hotel with shopping and dining within walking distance, and only a few minutes from airport and cruise port. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating as our flight changed several times on our departure day. Free breakfast was a nice bonus.

The hotel is surrounded by almost all the stores you can think of. And it's a walking distance. Just come prepared to shop or window shop ?. My room was spacious. The breakfast was just OK.
Rooms: Spacious and clean
Walkability: Shopping centers
