This is a fraud company.. they will do ever possible to get double or triple the amount you’ve reserved for. Strongly avoid this rental company. If there was a negative review, I would have given that.Very very rude customer service as well.

We rented a car through Skyscanner and arrived in Miami, waited for a shuttle that never came. Called several times before someone answered. They said wait ten minutes and we’ll have the shuttle to you. 18 minutes later, they called us and told us they didn’t have any cars left! We asked if we would be refunded and they weren’t sure! They gave us another number to call which was disconnected. If we’re charged we will dispute the charges. This feels like a scam to me…Budget car rental saved the day for us and the woman was so nice and upgraded us for free.

I booked a midsize car and then when I arrived, they said they had rented it to somebody else because I arrived two hours and 45 minutes after the time that I had indicated as the pick up time The instructions on the pick up on Expedia nowhere said that there was a two hour time limit and as a result, the company Cars for less ( branding at the pick up location also says RC Right Cars). charged me for a larger car. Then they upped charge me for what they said is mandatory insurance that was not available or disclosed on the website. The only insurance that was on The website was for collision at $15 a day Canadian. Here they told me I need additional liability insurance at $50 US a day yet there was no indication on the website that they would be charged this. I suggest you use a different company or be prepared to open your wallet for additional charges that you were not advised of.

I had to buy third party insurance even though I have insurance and own multiple properties in Indiana. Not a great customer experience.

From the first moment, I did not feel comfortable with the customer service system unable to talk with someone in person. The mistrust increased when I noticed all the extra charges, supposedly mandatories, that according to the person who attended me (through a video monitor), I had to include (insurance - even though I had my credit card covering it; tolls - even though I had a SunPass). It should be noted that since you arrive at the premises (a minimum space with two cubicles with TV monitors through which you communicate with the customer service) what you see are signs indicating all the "penalties" that you would risk. if you do not take the insurance with them and the cost of the tolls. On top of that, I received an "upgrade" that was the worst car that for sure was in stock... I returned it before the date and (of course) I did not get any money back, because I did not inform them about the problems with the car...In a nutshell, If you want to save money and/or drive a good vehicle when you are in Fort Lauderdale, DO NOT RENT at ACO RENT a car.

Very unethical company. For starters, it's a total VIRTUAL company where you walk into a Home Depot shack thatbwas converted to an office. Then they cameras everywhere and computer monitors in small rooms where you video call with a representative. If you see this set up, RUN AWAY! They bait you in with cheap prices then once they charge your card there's no real person to get customer service from. It's all virtual so you must trust what the are saying and then when I received the email confirmation of charges they over charged me. I called back and they were short and rude and said no refunds and when he noticed me filming he disconnected the call and wouldn't answer when I called back repeatedly. They lie about Florida laws to try to force you to buy the toll package and insurance. They told me State of Florida REQUIRES you to purchase the rental company's insurance. Then said Toll roads are mandatory and every toll charge is $25 plus the toll charge on top. I declined then they verified my insurance coverage was 100k for liability and then said their company policy is that they REQUIRE 500K limits in liability coverage, which is absurd. The fee for not having 500k in coverage is $40. How many vehicles on the road need more than 100k liability! I refuse so she says my options are to pay it or cancel the reservation and she couldn't guarantee Expedia would give me my car back.My recommendation, pay the extra few dollars to deal with a legit reputable rental car company at the FLL Airport. This place is set up to get your money however they can and know that it's very unlikely to get it back. 0 stars if I could.

Very very bad service. We came on vacation and it was everything virtual. They didn’t even had a real person. I recommend do not use this. Beware, they are scammers they will rob your money.

My frustration is with the lack of communication/information given about the booking. The website I booked through is also responsible for not making instructions clear. I had to call a bunch of numbers to get picked up from the airport. Then when I finally get there, the check in system is a virtual call in a booth. The customer service rep was very nice and helpful and he would get a good rating, but the company itself is not worth the stress. There are many added fees that you are not made aware of until you get there. This company and booking sites need to be transparent about what exactly you are paying for. Per my booking, I was going to be spending $30 for 1 day rental. When checking in, with additional fees and requirements they tackle on it went up to almost being charged $150-200 in fees and an additional $250-$1000 hold on your card (depending which liability option you chose—it is mandatory). To be honest, not worth the stress. I wasted an hour of my 1 day trip stressing about this. Book at your own discretion.

The worst. They tell you one price, you get there and they trily to charge extra. Since I opted not to get insurance since I had my own they tried to take a $1000 security deposit, then changed it to $250.00. I am upset my Avis was booked for this day. Never, ever, ever will I use this company again!

Worst service ever. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. Overpriced, including liability charge, hidden fees, all the service is done by video so nobody on site to help, shuttle at best every 30min from/to airport so plan ahead if you don't want to miss your flight.

Terrible. I had to call multiple numbers in order to get the shuttle. The first number I called instructed me to call a second. The second instructed me to call a third. The driver was very nice though. Then about an hour later we are on our way. Get to the puck up place and it is virtual. Tap the screen and nothing. After 5 attempts I called the number posted. Was on Hold for 30 minutes but since I continued to tap the screen, 30 minutes later I got the virtual receptionist. He was fine too but overall it was almost 2 hrs from the time I left the catch the shuttle to the time I got keys. Ridiculous! Just avoid it if possible.

This place is a rip-off. Avoid them and go to a real rental car company. On feb 7 2023 I booked a rental car with right cars through Travelocity for 3 days in Fort Lauderdale for $109.98. Upon arrival, they added a non-negotiable fee of $174.90 for a transponder. I do not need a transponder. But they would not rent the car without it. Also, they would not return my fee if I canceled when I learned of that fee.

Terrible experience. Awful communication. Multiple phone calls at a large airport, leading us to the wrong place for pick up more than once. Vehicle pick up off airport property, which is not advertised. Vehicle pick up is at a kiosk with someone at a remote location with a screen. Would not use again.
