The braids themselves were pretty, but unfortunately once I got there for my appointment and she started working on my hair, she said she needed to step out for an errand for 15 minutes. I was kept waiting for over 40 minutes. I was also charged $50 extra for adding the extension hair I had brought, which this wasn't clear from when I booked the appointment. Nice braids but sadly not the best experience overall!

Meka was excellent! She gave a great scalp massage while washing and conditioning my hair. It was a great blow dry. My hair feels fuller and she also gave me great tips for maintenance. Thank you so much Meka!

Okay experience. she got the job done, which was removal of the weave with washing my hair/ take down for sewin/wash.I would say the professionalism could use some work, this is just constructive criticism- not bashing.When i spoke to her over the phone, she was unprofessional and rude to me with attitude, and I was a new customer.Cannot text message or message via an app, and she may not answer the phone.But in person, she was much more pleasant.My only qualm is on her website , she says that "booking appt is $25 non refundable fee, and this fee is applied towards service fee, in which remaining balance is due on the day of your service rendered." I zelled her the $25 after making the appt, then on the day she tells me I owe her $60. Now on hr website, it says cost is $45 and up based on the type of take down. So i did not expect to pay $85 to take out weave( excluding tip). Perhaps I should have asked her b4 starting the service, the total cost, since it says "and up".It's weird because she can say ANY COST so you won't know if you got cheated or not as a new client.Moving forward, i'd avoid anywhere that says "and up" if they cannot tell me beforehand how much it will be- i could have sent a picture something, but again cannot reach her via text.Otherwise, no complaints. But I would not go back due to that.Update: Based on this owner's response, I am mortified.The low level of professionalism is depicted in the response to my review. I gave her a 4 star review & she responded disgruntled. I changed my review from 4 stars. I'd NEVER go back. She has lied on her response:1. She could get my name correct, it's in black & white yet she calls me another name.2. I did try to call her more than once, and sometimes no answer when i called. Hence I was trying to get the consultation she mentions. She was rude over the phone to me, similarly to this response.3. All my reviews are based on my own experience, many places I review get raving 5 stars- I will always give honest & true reviews. The reviews are to help the public, not necessarily the owner.4.I booked a sew in/take down on the website, so I could not have wanted to "salvage" my sewin initially, you offered so I said okay let us see and decided not to.5. My hair is not "a lot." As a black woman to black woman, that is disappointing to hear from you. I paid you $95 to take out a sew in & wash- that I had already started to take out, & my hair is type 3C/4A short & curly. That is not "a lot". It's very easy to wash. Just because you have difficulty with my type of hair or the sew-in, does not mean it is " a lot".6. I TIP EVERYONE. It's not about the cost for me, $100 for me is nothing. It is about being TRANSPARENT as a business owner and you were not.7. I do not OWE you anything --as a customer, especially a new one. I don't NEED to say ANYTHING to you "right then and there". It was my choice to pay for the service & cost you said after & write a review about my experience. YOU as the OWNER, could have explained WHY it was more than stated on the website.8. For further improvement, tell customers the price BEFORE starting their hair, since you may CHANGE the price that is stated on the website since it says "and up"9. Your response to this constructive criticism says it all. I am not bashing you, it was based on my experience & you do need to take it personal.Goodluck.

Love love love the work she did on me.I got two feed in braids and the process was amazing.She made sure my hair was perfect redid the braid when it wasn't coming out correctly and took her time with it.10/10 would recommend to everyone

I asked for medium size and long to my waist. I was advised that would be extra $325 which included the $25 deposit. I asked if she added extra for length, which I knew she didn’t. She said, no because they were already long. She still charged me the same price even though she diid not add extra hair. I have 33 braids for $325!! I hope you know you are dead wrong for this!!! I’m not the type to go back and forth but I work hard for my money and the fact that you are okay with charging me $325 for 33 braids and charging extra for length that you did not provide. I hope it was worth it!!!I requested a refund $150 but I was refunded $50! I was advised I had buyers remorse when this was my second time spending $300 with her! Don’t forget the first time you charged me an extra $30 to use cash app! This is not worth $325 or $250! $150 is theYou are unethical because I don’t care what anyone says these braids that you did are not worth 325 now your saying 350! You as a hairstylist should have taken a step back and ask yourself, is this worth $325! I didn’t allow you to take a picture or record you were already doing so when you finished. I looked in the mirror but when I got home I counted 33 braids! That wasn’t your first day on the job! You took advantage and now you are lying! Girl bye!Service: Braids
