After a mishap with another dog, we brought our dog in for some medical care after our regular vet blew us off. Even though we had never been there before and came in unannounced, they treated us kindly and with respect, and provided grade-A care for our much-beloved pet. We'll now use PAC for all our veterinary needs for here on.

I have been going to Plantation Animal Clinic since 2009 and am so grateful for all the love and care of all my Babies!! I would give them 10 star's if I could. Dr Tammy cares and it shows everytime you come in for a regular checkup or an illness. So Happy I was referred to him all those years ago.

Rex, my fourteen-year-old dashound, jumped off my chair instead of going down the steps and hurt his back. I called my vet, Trish, at the Healing place and her staff suggested that I take Rex to Plantation animal for an X-ray, the vet and staff were very kind they took very good care of Rex. The vet prescribed three medications and sent all the information to my vet.

I had used Dr. Tammy Barron as my vet since I moved to Crystal River approx. 10 years ago. She is an excellent Veterinarian and is very compassionate and genuinely cares about her patients, as does her staff except maybe the older lady that works in the front office, she can be a little surly. Long story short I took my 17 year, 11 month old dog to to Plantation Animal clinic this morning, it seemed she was having a stroke or a seizure. I only live 7-8 minutes from the office so we got her there pretty quickly. Since the COVID pandemic Dr. Tammy's office has been drop off only and does not allow anyone inside. When I got there I was going to take my dog inside and the woman the front desk said I could not come in, they sent a vet tech outside, she asked if my dog was ok, I said obviously she was not, she said I could not come inside, I said ok, I will go somewhere else. I was not going to just drop my senior dog off, not knowing if she was going to live or possibly die at any moment.Needless to say I was pretty upset. I took my dog to a clinic about a mile away and they had several patients in the waiting room, they took us to a room immediately and asked a little about her history. The Dr. said she thought she may be having a stroke. She gave her two shots to help with pain and try and relax her. It helped a little. We stayed for about an hour and brought her home, she finally relaxed enough to sleep and hopefully will recover. After I got home and my dog relaxed I called Plantation Animal Clinic and asked them to transfer my dog's medical records to another clinic and asked them to have Dr. Tammy call me wen she had time. Dr. Tammy called this evening and explained that per CDC guideline they were not allowing anyone in the waiting area and you have to wait outside. I said ok and that I unfortunately would not be using her office any longer, she said ok. She never asked how my dog was doing that has been her patient for over 10 years. I guess business is business there after all. In short Dr. Tammy is an excellent Vet, I would never say she isn't, but I do feel that when I needed them most Plantation Animal Clinic was not there for us. If you don't mind having a drive-thru Vet I would highly recommend, it obviously does not work for me. If I want a drive-thru I go to McDonald's. I have a feeling the success of Plantation Animal Clinic has went to their heads. Good Luck.

This is to give an update on our experience with Dr. Tammy and her staff at Plantation. After treating our Yorkie for about a year and a half for kidney failure, we had to make the very difficult decision this afternoon to ask Dr. Tammy to put our sweet friend to sleep. Tammy and her staff were so thoughtful and kind to help us cope with losing our dear little friend and family member. They are the best vet team I have ever come across in Michigan or Florida. Thanks to Dr. Tammy and her great Plantation staff for helping my wife and I through this very difficult time as well as throughout our dog's long illness.. I'd give them six stars if I could.

Dr. Tammy is the kind of vet who gets on the floor with your dog and really gives him a thorough going over. You can tell how much she loves animals. She always returns phone calls. I have always found the costs to be reasonable.
