“I like to try hotels that are off the beaten path and potentially unique. Every once in a while, a gem like the Port Hotel pops up. This is as "Old Florida" as it gets, small hotel is located right on the water in Crystal River, with great morning views from a large window and a nice patio to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. This is a popular area for "swimming with the Manatees" tours, and tour boats and swimmers can be seen at all times of the day just across the water near Banana Island. Manatees, bald eagles, and other wildlife are right there in front of your hotel room. Rooms are simple but show attention to cleanliness and maintenance. Restaurant, bar, and watercraft rentals are located on the property.”

“Fabulous location! We stayed on 2/16/24. Yes, there is construction there but we didn't hear any noise. The pool isn't heated but the hot tub was perfect. Our room was perfect. The Linens and pillows were really nice. Staff was great. Cindy at the front desk was friendly and helpful.”

“Fijn motel voor 1 nacht, aardige dame aan de receptie. 2 queens bedden, heerlijk geslapen. Zwembad was nog aan de koude kant half maart. Alleen bij het ontbijt waren er alleen waffles, appel en yoghurt.”

“I wish I could give more than five stars to the banquet team! Starla and Adrienne were fantastic to work with, very responsive and gracious. They were able to accomodate us last minute and every request was handled efficiently! We had excellent help the morning of, Anthony was readily available and both team members were on point. The only negative I have about my entire stay is that service in the restaurant was comically bad, and the food was just 'okay'. Overall I would absoluely bring another event back to this resort if they will have us!”
“We came to see the manatees and had the bonus of friendly fun casual talks and advice from the front desk. Melissa and Jennifer went out of their way to help make our stay totally memorable - tips on water conditions, directions to restaurants, friendly granting of delayed checkout.Breakfast of eggs, oatmeal, and homemade waffles tasted as good as it smelled. The rooms were clean with no odors. And the cleaning staff as well, simply gracious. A beautiful representation of a sleepy fun West Florida town.”
