I have lived in Dixie my whole life (1984)and have been using services at cheeks as long as I can remember. I personally have never had an issue with them aside from my personal discontent with the choice to incorporate hunting and fishing supplies in a pharmacy. However the reason I am only giving two stars is because after reading the responses to other customers reviews I am highly disappointed and disheartened by the cold and unnecessary reactions from the apparent owner. This is supposed to be a hometown pharmacy supporting local residents and I don’t think that making comments about what people can or can’t afford when expressing their opinion on prices or publicly and sarcastically commenting that one reviewer is the spouse of another therefore apparently their opinion and review is somehow unimportant are in ANY way an acceptable response to address and react to customers and members of our community! Even if they have a difference of opinion I believe any reputable establishment should still respond with understanding, empathy, and grace! If it’s not even a thought to respond in a better manner in a public setting such as this it really makes me wonder what treatment customers must experience in person where no one else can bear witness?!

This place is a trashy drug store. You can probably buy illegal drugs in here they never have prescriptions that you need or they lie and say it’s covered by your insurance and then you come in and they tell you it’s not and it’s gonna cost you $5000.

Nice place. Music more for younger generations. Loved calm chowder. Different but really good. Pickle fries are great. French dip ok needs a little more flare. Auque for french dip has a lot of flavor. Service is outstanding.

Went to ER for kidney stones and was in tremendous pain. Hospital prescribed me 4 medicines. And I didn't have enough for all the prescription only had enough for two. Two of the main ones I need to help stone pass through. Cheeks told me no we can't do that I had to pick them all up or have them sent somewhere else. I didn't have enough money to get them all. And I have picked up prescriptions before from here and left some so what is the problem now. I will be taking my wife and my pharmacy elsewhere

Refused to take my insurance to fill meds after they seen how cheap it made them...about 30mins after this review they called me to tell me they wouldn't fill any prescriptions for me at all, so to recap a pharmacy that want let you get meds filled

Very friendly, they fill your prescriptions fast and call you to let you know when your script's are ready or if you need a refill.

I'm so disappointed with this place!! What a horror story we called and told them we did not need a prescription to pay for a prescription I'm allergic to, they didn't bother to ask a grant pays for my monthly meds but no that's not enough for them they refused to give me my prescription without paying for a useless one I'm allergic to, they tried to say it was a regulation, in fact it is not, I go to Gainesville and to Inglis for this medicine and they have no such SCAM as this. I will keep my grant from now on in Inglis where you really are treated with dignity, Cheek made my husband feel lower than dirt for even catching them in such a SCAM!! We both are on a medicine that has kept us living and drug free to treat someone like that, well shame on you all.!! If anyone gets this medication fill it in Inglis where they are legit and caring and will make you feel happy when you come out don't let Cheek win with this behavior, somebody needs to take a stand
