First, Greg and Patricia here are wonderful. My star rating is not about them or the service they provide.
I'm giving this post office a one-star review due to the negative experience I had with a clerk.
This was my experience...
The person before me had several packages that the clerk, Jennifer, was frantically scanning in on the scale. I could tell she was in a terrible mood, sighing, flipping packages around roughly into the bin. Then, when I stepped up, she did the same thing, not letting the scale zero out before frantically scanning both of my packages. The last package came up with an incorrect weight on my tracking receipt, saying it was 3 lbs 4 oz. I brought it to her attention, saying, "I know it isn't 3lbs 4oz. I weighed it before I brought it here." I knew she just didn't let her scale zero out because she was clearly moody and hurried. All I wanted her to do was to reweigh it. She FLEW OFF the handle at me, yelling at me, saying, "There's nothing I can do." And "I can't fix it. It is what it is." I just wanted her to reweigh it, and she kept yelling at me. At one point, she actually screamed at me, "DO YOU WANT TO DO THIS JOB!!!!" I honestly couldn't believe it. I'm standing there like a deer in headlights. I didn't know what to say. I was treated poorly all because I wanted her to check the weight. Unbelievable.
The package was for an online order that was purchased through my shop. The shipping label was for up to 2 lb. I weigh each item before I ship to confirm the weight after it's packaged, and all three times, it was under the 2 lbs. I bring it to the post office, and they scan the QR code and print the shipping label. Once the item is delivered, if there is a discrepancy between the weight on the prepaid label and what is weighed at the post office, which shows on the tracking receipt, I, or the customer, get charged the difference. I didn't want that since I knew it was under 2 lbs. It would've been a simple fix on my end, which I did take care of. I contacted the customer to let them know, and I canceled the item, relisted it, and they repurchased.
However, this Jennifer lady should NOT have a job working with people. Period. I wished I would've got a video of it. Her behavior was seriously frightening!

We spent on summer along the coast and we used this post office. We enjoyed it so much. The clerks are welcoming, funny, kind, and helpful. We found excuses to go to the post. Made our day happy

This post office is a joke.. They do not follow their own USPS regulations and make local regulation to supersede government regulations. I had to teach them how to do their job around 6 months ago and know have another issues with the power drunk agent Greg. He will get taught his job again. The Post Master is his buddy and had his back on the last fiasco and he got taught something then as well.. Time to teach them another lesson.. I really wish they would train the ill informed people or remove them from service. They have costed me so much time and aggravation. Do yourself a favor and drive to Palatka, worth the drive to have some regulations and rules that are followed and actually work..
