This use to be an excellent Bank when it was Amtrust. When we had a 7 Month CD with Amtrust we were able to add to the balance at anytime. This option was taken away under Flagstar. Also, when it was time to renew a CD, they pushed in opening a Checking account to get .010 more interest. However, we would have to open with $500 making the Interest over 13 months less. I believe the bank representative did not want to disclose this informationn to us. I calculate the difference in a matter of a minute. The representative could have done the same thing sitting at their computer. I will be now shopping for a more Customer Friendly Bank.

I have never been so insulted in my life! I was profiled by the teller! I guess I look like a thief or check forger. When is it bank policy to call the person who wrote a check for a couple hundred dollars to ask if they actually wrote the check? Never in my 55 years. Our family has been banking here for over 50 years and this is how they treat me first thing in the morning. Absolutely disgusting!

The worst service ever this bank is the woelrst bank if u ever need ur own money they make you wait mire than 1 hour they never have money for withdraws stuff is Just horrible

The absolute worst bank in creation. They will randomly reject large checks for no apparent reason. Maybe they are over extended? If you have large sums of money don't put it in Amtrust or NYCB. And they don't care.

I've been with this bank for about 30 years. I don't like to move around when it comes to banking since it takes too much time & energy. Until today, that was the last straw!!!! I notice that my balance was less than what my last check required. I immediately rushed over to the bank & deposited cash to cover the check. I had been told that if I make a deposit before 11 AM, in such circumstance, that I would not be charged an insufficient funds penalty. In the past they never forgave if I made a same day transfer. So, today I deposited cash. The deposit slip stated that the money is available immediately. When I checked my account the next day, I was charged the $36 which now created another insufficient amount which will probably generate another $36 charge. At this point all my bills scheduled to be paid next week will have to be postponed since I will be moving my banking. I'm addiction to over charging me erroneously they are creating havoc in my life & my creditors who will probably not be very happy about getting paid late. Please, please if you have ANY issued with this bank, leave now. If you intend to do business with them: DON'T. Although, it was convenient & free it is not worth it in the long run. I paid more in these fees than I would have paid on monthly fees. Worst banking experience ever after Citi Bank.

#amtrust #incompetence at its best. So two days ago I waited in my bank for two hours to get a atm card. You know COVID. Avoid people. After the two hours and opening another account C.D. I leave. You'll get your card in the mail. Today they call me to tell me new system in place your card is canceled come in to get one. I go on a rant explaining that when all the old my age people die there will be no need for banks. No change in banks long holds and acceptable mediocre. Ok this is my version of a bad yelp reviews. I understand that even thought not one of the employees care and it's probably the same elsewhere but now I'm forced to change banks. Cannot award incompetence. I've been with this bank this branch since 2004.
