“In 2015 Hot Topic founded BoxLunch, to offer fan merchandise, gifts, and novelties to a more adult demographic. Hot Topic is now three brands, Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Her Universe. While Hot Topic appeals to the teens, BoxLunch was created with fans 25 and older in mind. The name BoxLunch was chosen to provide connection to the companies philanthropic mission to feed the hungry. For every $10 spent in the store, one meal is donated to Feeding America. BoxLunch has had numerous collaborations with brands such as Marvel,, Disney, and Stranger Things. Their collaboration with McDonalds won the Licensing International Excellence Award for Best Retailer. Many of the products sold out within the first 48 hours. There are now 200 BoxLunch locations across the country.This BoxLunch is in Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs. This store is located in the same hallway as Old Navy. Unlike Hot Topic, this store is bright and roomy. Inviting displays showcase clothing, mugs, plush animals, hats, socks, back packs, hair clips, toys, jewelry, and more. Some of the franchises I saw included Star Wars, Disney, Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, Harry Potter, Marvel, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Howl's Moving Castle.Prices are on the more expensive side but apparel was buy one get one 30 percent off. A sweater for example is $65. There is a small clearance area in the back of the store. I really loved the clothing and especially the Stitch crockpot. The friendly salesperson told me that BoxLunch has a lot of merchandise exclusives. As a pop culture fan this store is right up my alley.”
