My recent experience with Citizens Bank has left me utterly disillusioned and enraged. After renewing my CD, they offered a paltry interest rate of 0.05%, while admitting they could have provided a market rate of 5% if only I had asked.
This is not customer service; it's blatant exploitation. Instead of rewarding loyalty, Citizens Bank penalizes unsuspecting clients who trust them with their hard-earned money. It's despicable how they prioritize profit over their customers' well-being.
To make matters worse, when I decided to close my account, they had the audacity to charge me a fee. So not only did they fail to safeguard my finances with a decent interest rate, but they also punished me for wanting to take my business elsewhere.
Citizens Bank's reprehensible behavior should serve as a warning to all potential customers. Save yourself the frustration and find a bank that values transparency and respects its clients. Citizens Bank, you've lost my trust and my business.

That lousy bank doesn't even deserve a star.
They try to steal your money, they freeze your account without notice, supposedly due to fraud, and even if you attend in person, they won't take you back the money. They are thieves. Please don't risk your money in this bank and give them a bad time. I've been there for more than a month and I still don't have my money back, I'm going to take this to the law, this is illegal ???????

Pretty terrible, they will close your account without warning, their website doesn't even work half the time, and calling them to fix reopen it is pointless.

It’s a shame that bankers there don’t want your business . Liz looked at her watch and didn’t make me feel expected or welcome at all . I had an appointment previously scheduled and she couldn’t hide her disappointment when I came in .

Visited this branch, HSBC in Coral Gables, there was no teller because according to the banker/manager, out to lunch. Essentially the branch was open but no teller to assist customers. Had to come back an hour later because no one to help. When I returned, teller had a poor attitude in assisting and gave me the oldest bills she could find it seemed, unasked her for newer bills and she declined. She said she had no way to acces the cash matching. I approached the manager this time there was a manager, and he wasn’t any more helpful than the teller. Horrible place and horrible bank to deal with. As soon as I am able to, I will be canceling all my CD and taking my business elsewhere.

Awful, crooks..changed to electronic bill without authorization, didn’t notify me, then charge a late fee. When I asked for a paper bill,then said “it’s $5 ....
