Has gone down hill really bad over the years. Overcrowded and no personal space. You will be inches from someone else on another machine while you workout. So awkward and awful.

Ive been coming to this gym for 4 years now and things have just gone downhill. This gym has an issue with cleanliness and pest control. Came here on Wednesday to find roaches in the women’s locker room. I immediately notified the gentleman at the front desk of the roach but he seemed unbothered. This is not the first occurrence of roaches ive seen at this gym as this has happened several times. Every time i see one i notify staff so they can kill it but it keeps happening. Clearly there is a pest control issue here thats not being addressed. I’ve never heard of a gym with roaches and its extremely unpleasant to find those things when you’re trying to change in the locker room. It was unsettling enough for me to just leave and go workout at my other gym. All the machines are dirty and full of dust and grime. The floors are full of dust and the machines leave your clothes and hands dirty. They have one lady to clean the whole gym which is completely unrealistic. Ive tried to stick it out as long as I could but the cleanliness and pest control issues are really pushing me away and towards canceling my membership.

The one star is because of the personal training program. I’m under a contract for 3 months paying 342 dollars a month for nothing. I been through 3 different trainers in a month. They can’t hold their employees so I don’t know why they keep doing contracts if there is no one to train. I talk to the manager she said she can’t do nothing about cancelling because I’m under contract.I love the gym but definitively the trainer program is a scam. Do not sign up for it! Is a waste of money ( over a thousand dollars to the trash) and time.

Good, clean club with all the equipment I need for training. It could use a sauna, but it is convenient for me, so that was the deciding factor... well that and the dumbbells go up to 145 lbs for those of us that can use them and not be limited to 100 lbs dumbbells.

This gym is incredible. The staff at the desk always greet you with a smile and they are very helpful. They’ve got every machine you could possibly want with plenty of space. The members are also a great crowd I highly recommend.

I really do like the gym and even pay the highest membership but the owner REALLY needs to get his attention on repairing the machines, ex: the abs machines, all of them have some broken part or some kind of issue.

Wish I could give 0 stars if I could! (Women Please Be Careful!) I recently had a terrifying incident at Retro Fitness Cooper City that compelled me to share my experience. I've been a member for 1 year, and unfortunately, my recent encounter has left me with serious reservations about the gym's management and policies. From the day I signed up, I was informed that signing my name at the front desk and receiving the key would grant me access to the private room for my workouts. However, during a recent session, I experienced a highly distressing situation. An aggressive individual began banging on the door and cursing at me to "Open the f#%king door!". I had signed out the room for myself and felt genuinely threatened by this person's behavior. Despite having the key, I hesitated to open the door due to concerns for my safety. The older staff member, whom I assumed would rectify the situation, instead insisted that I allow the aggressive individual into the room to work out with me. This was not only unprofessional but also made me feel unsafe. To add to the confusion, when my boyfriend later called to inquire about the rules for the private room, he was informed that it was, in fact, a "shared workout room," and if he wanted it exclusively, he would need to pay $500 even though the door literally says "Private workout room". This contradicted the information provided to me when I signed up and raised questions about the gym's transparency. Feeling unsettled and disappointed by this experience, I returned later that week to cancel my membership. I believe that the gym should prioritize the safety and well-being of its members (especially women), and this incident fell short of my expectations. Not to mention the staff didn't ask me if I was okay after the incident. Seems that they tolerate this behavior.
