If you can avoid using this vet, I would do so. Speaking 100% from personal experiences, I know multiple horse owners including myself that have lost their horses at the hands of these people. From being misdiagnosed, mistreated for improper diagnosis, and for not even being able to diagnose said horse(s)It’s scary. To call a vet, you should feel confident that not only your horse is receiving the best care, but that your vet is knowledgeable enough to be able to help the issue at hand. That is not the case with this clinic, and it shows with the trail of fatalities left behind them. I and many others have questioned the actions of this veterinary clinic throughout many different vet calls, especially emergency calls. You receive very little to no explanation of treatment, diagnosis, etc. Blood work, tests, etc. are not properly explained, and the paperwork is never shared with the owners. Making you feel completely helpless and clueless. Not only have people been told to “google” things if we question their actions, but they are quite rude about addressing any doubt or questions you may have about your horse, or horses recovery as well. On the last visit, which ended with a fatality after being improperly diagnosed… we observed dirty and contaminated equipment be used on a horse for “treatment.” When questioned about things we were given the cold shoulder. Pricing is not discussed properly with owners, with treatment being much higher than originally discussed and anticipated, as well as charges being pushed through that were not approved or discussed by or with the owner.I have given this clinic multiple chances with my own horses, boarders horses, friends horses, and families horses… I will no longer recommend them to anybody. If you can, I highly suggest you search for another local vet or consider taking your horses out of area to be seen. I do have proof to support this review, and stand on my “opinion” after the things I have witnessed others go through, and what I have gone through myself.

I want to give a shout out to Equine Wellness and Performance and Dr. Biegel. I am part of the BCSO Mounted Posse and was looking forward to the training sessions on April 8th with my horse Scout. I was putting my paper work together and realized that I did not have Scout's new Coggins negative paper and called Dr. Biegel's office. Once I explained that the next day was the training session and we found out that the sample had never made it to the lab, Dr. Biegel took it upon himself to come out that day, draw another sample and run it to a lab in Deland that provided same day processing. Because of his efforts Scout and I made to the training and had a wonderful day. I have been using this organization since its inception and will continue. Thank you for going the extra mile for Scout and me!

I traveled in today to have a Coggins pulled on a horse we are rescuing. It was our first time there. The staff was fantastic along with the Dr. and really helpful as I had my newborn with me in my truck. They were extremely fast and efficient! Highly recommended them! I will be using them for all my other horse's.
