So, here is an update to the situation that happened with this establishment. Unfortunately because Jonah was not potty trained in the house we could not keep him because of our young children and because we were uninformed that he might or might not be potty trained. Jonah is a very sweet very rambunctious puppy that needs potty training but is a really really lovely dog. He had kennel cough when we got him. He was on medication for kennel cough. I pray that this establishment continued his medication.
As for the women of this establishment. The manager I can't recall her name basically conned me into letting us sponsor Jonah's adoption. She did this by saying I will allow you to sponsor Jonah's adoption to another family with your $100. On the condition, that you take down your review I would really appreciate it she said with a sly grin.
This animal shelter is not an animal shelter it is basically a place where animals go to get infested with fleas and live with cockroaches and depression. I am ashamed to say that we even came here as an option in the first place. The animals at this location need removed immediately and protected in some other fashion at some other establishment. Please if you need to adopt a new pet and love dogs Jonah is the perfect fit. Jonah is a retriever mix he is all black with white on his chest and paw. He just needs a little potty training and some discipline training as well. He is very excitable and sweet! Jonah should still in good faith be adopted for free with our financial blessing of the $100 donation for adopting him. Please please please, if you choose to adopt an animal soon I beg that you go to this location and save the animals that desperately need your help!
If I could give this location a zero or -0 I would. Don't get me wrong I love helping animals but I will never ever go back to these people ever again! Tracy was disrespectful, rude, combative and just plain aggressive. I'm actually surprised she cares enough to save animals. We tried to adopt a husky mix she was against it from the get-go because of reasons that were out of our control. She did not want us to adopt the dog and immediately shut it down without any discussion at all. They refused to let us even meet the dog. We did adopt another dog and he's beautiful and more perfect than the husky could have ever been for our family. I have never been spoken to so rudely or aggressively by someone I just met. I will never ever recommend the cocoa before humane society location to anyone. We were even going to join a membership. However after Tracy's behavior we decided quickly we were better off going elsewhere. Save your time, gas and pennies.

I was recently in Downtown Melbourne and found your Thrift Shop was no longer there. I suggest you update your locations. I did have the opportunity to go to your Rockledge location. I can only say it was extremely disappointing. Very poorly arranged and don't get me started on the pricing. Many items I could purchase NEW for less than they were priced there. Sad to see how poorly this store is run. If you are trying to help the animals in your care I suggest you take a serious look at how you are doing it.

I was trying to turn in a sickly stray kitten. I called ahead and they told me they would take her. When I showed up they told me that they would no longer take the kitten. I talked to four different staff members and they all told me something different. I am very disappointed. Clear policies and direct communication can be improved.

I’ve had my dog for 6 years and I’ve always go here to get his shots and everything updated but when I need to call and make appointment or get his flea medicine every month they never answer the phone.
