“A Tale of Two Auto Repair Shops…It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. This morning our seven-year-old granddaughter accidentally jammed the seat belt in the rear door of our daughter’s Kia Sorento and the door would not open. With only a single source of transport for three young children, aged 3, 7, and 10, and the dealership in Melbourne, our daughter, Tricia, called “Harvey’s Auto Repair” in Port St. John. “April” took Tricia’s call, was most sympathetic and caring, and told her to come in when convenient. Three mechanics, “Zach,” “Thomas,” and even the owner, “Ernie,” resolved the issue within ten minutes, even though Tricia was not a customer, just a mother in distress, and did not charge her. A year ago, we had a relatively new Chevvy Malibu that suddenly, without warning, have a trunk release latch fail. We returned to the dealership where we bought the Malibu new and had always serviced it. There is no way to open the trunk if the latch is inoperable and we needed to take relatives and their luggage to the airport that evening. The dealership told us they were “swamped” but for an additional labor fee they could fit us in. The latch replacement took ten minutes and the labor fee was $235!! There’s no surprise that “Harvey’s Auto Repair” has nothing but 5-star ratings. We are very, very grateful to have such caring professionals so close.”

“Took my car in to have the brakes and front alignment checked. Service advisor Don was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He went over in detail what he would have tech do and then called me to advise of what was needed. Ladies, if you need an honest repair facility...this is it. They are not going to try to take you for repairs you don't need. Honest and trustworthy is hard to find today...but it does still exist at Winner.”

And the money is not 50 or 60 dollars we are talking 600 to 700 less the my other quote and also took the time to explain the work that was done.ill leave you with this if a mechanic has no cars there and can get you in right everywhere beware cause at Larry's he is constantly busy so it might take a couple of days for you to get your car back but when your bill

“So I originally went there to get my tire patched. The tire ended up going completely flat after a couple months. I put off getting tires because of the price. I called around looking for the best price, and overlooked this mom and pop place thinking he would be more expensive than walmart. Come to find out, Walmart didnt even have my tire in stock! My friend told me to call the place she originally referred me to get patched. So I called the guy, and he quoted me $100 less than every other place I called. Needless to say I got the tire, and I've been satisfied with the service and the conversation while I waited.”

9 September 2025 oil change tire rotation for Mazda CX-5. I could have saved myself $40 but I was honest and I told him no I did not purchase the tires there but Vito saved me $300 when I had some work done on my 2012 Kia Sorento motor mounts and struts.

“I made the mistake of taking my car to a friends “mechanic”. Spent $1100 on a clutch replacement and a few miscellaneous repairs. After 2 months when i got my car back it was still messed up and was told that my transmission was going bad. I ended up talking to Sam the owner of Revco and filled him in as to what was going on with my vehicle and what the other mechanic did/told me. Sam took a look and apparently the other guy did a half ass terrible job. Sam and his team had my car fixed up in 4 days. It was a fair price for the job (sucks i had to pay for the job twice) and my car runs better than ever!”
