Have mix feelings with this pharmacy. They temporarily close on certain occasions and are not convenient for the patient if they need their prescription ASAP. I had to transfer my son's prescription because they closed two days straight and my son was in such bad health it's insane that they do this.

There have been constant issues with this pharmacy. A prescription for pink eye was called in 12/1/21 around 3:30 pm. It was supposed to be ready in 2 hours. When I checked the status 2 hours later, it said “pharmacist reviewing prescription”. I checked the status at 9am, 11am and 3pm on 12/2/21 and the status was the same. When I left my office in tampa around 3:30pm, I called the Clermont Walgreens and was on hold (no one ever answered) for the entire 1.5 hour drive. When I arrived at Walgreens, there was a sign on the door saying they closed at 3pm on 12/2/21 and will return 12/3/21. Last month, they incorrectly refilled a controlled substance with a higher dosage than the prescription was written for and charged me double the price for the generic version. Every single month, my refills stay in the “reviewing prescription” phase for around 2-3 days and then I get a notification to call the pharmacy because there is an issue with my refill and they need more info. When I call, they say there is no issue and it’ll be ready in 2 hours. So why not fill it the day it was due instead of holding it for 2-4 days for no issue?

Very disappointed with the pharmacy service, I requested birth control refills 2 weeks before my pack finished to make sure I did not have a delay and when I went to pick it up they said that there was a delay due to insurance, so today I went to check up on my prescription because I needed to take my pill and they said that someone closed the prescription and they didn't know why but clearly they could see that my Dr. Prescribed so then I called my Dr. So she could approve the Rx again and when I went back to walgreens the lady said that they will text me as soon as it was ready. On my way home I received a text saying that my Rx was delayed due to insurance so I decided to call back to check what was happening and someone different answered and explained to me that insurances are working different now because I have to visit a designated pharmacy in order for me to receive the Rx and when I called my designated pharmacy to transfer the Rx they said that it takes 2-3 days. My point is why they couldn't tell me from the beginning what was the actual problem instead of making me waste my time? Now I have to stop my birth control because they couldn't communicate.

As a local physician, I prescribe medications through this pharmacy and others on a routine basis. Several months ago, a medication dispensing error was made: One dose of a medication had initially been prescribed, but in discussion with the patient, a different dose was subsequently prescribed that same day. When the patient filled the prescription the following day, it was dispensed at the original dose. The patient caught the error en-route home (prior to breaking the seal on the medication) and went to the pharmacy to fix the error. She was met with resistance. When I called to resolve the issue, I spoke with the pharmacy manager, Eduardo, who was inexplicably terse and resolute in his denial that a problem existed that they would be able to fix. A subsequent call to Walgreens corporate eventually resolved the situation for my patient. I have so many positive experiences with other pharmacists and pharmacies, but the degree of rudeness I encountered in this particular case necessitated this review.
