Second time using PODS and was very pleased with the whole process. We moved from Oregon to New Hampshire, and everything made it perfectly. Communication was good drivers were friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you and will use PODS again on future moves.

I am writing this review because of the horrible experience of getting our pod delivered to our home. We had scheduled this pod delivery to our apartment in Chicago two months prior to our move date, I had called to confirm multiple times that our move had everything set up properly. We had taken care to get exact and specific measurements of the parking pad that is attached to our property to ensure a seamless delivery, and checked with multiple representatives that we spoke with that it wouldn't be a problem. Our pod delivery was updated the night before scheduled delivery to indicate that there was a delivery window between 7:30am and 10:30am the next day (indicating to us that everything again looked good). After the pod didn't show up by 10:30am, I called pods who reached out to the driver and they let me know the pod would arrive within an hour. However, after about a half hour, I got a call from pods telling me that the pod couldn't be delivered to our unit and that our only options would be to do city service (and pay an extra ~$385) or come unload the pod at the facility. The representative we spoke with was unhelpful, disrespectful and downright rude making a stressful situation even worse. When asked what was restricting delivery, no answers were given even though we had checked multiple times that our delivery area met all of Pods criteria. The representative was belittling and incredibly unhelpful, and I have never been spoken to with such disrespect and disregard for a situation. Being needlessly berated by a customer service representative while trying to figure out logistics made the situation much worse. The facility is over 40 minutes away, we would have to pay for a U-Haul or similar truck, and the facility was closing at 2:30pm which would have been impossible to do day-of, so this couldn't be an option. The facility was then closed until Tuesday due to a holiday, but as we both work full time jobs, this left us with our hands tied to do city service which we did not want to do because of the steep cost. The earliest available city service was three days after our agreed upon delivery date making us wait even longer for our possessions.Additionally, the city service was at 7:30am on a workday meaning that we had to hire movers to help us unload the pod in the 4 hour window we were provided (rather than having three days to unload ourselves if the POD had been delivered to our parking pad). In addition to the extremely rude customer service representative who called us, we were now paying $789.35 more than we agreed upon for pod delivery and unload. Additionally, the PODS city service driver ended up parking the delivery truck in our parking pad which we were told we would not be able to get the POD delivered to (I have photo evidence), and he stated that he could have driven the podzilla truck and used the podzilla to unload into our parking pad, further indicating to us that our parking pad was a viable delivery destination. We opened three formal disputes to get a refund for the city service charge that we were required to pay and for a reimbursement for the movers that we had to hire in order to unload the pod within the window that was provided. Both of these costs would not have been incurred if the pod had been delivered to the parking pad as we were told it would have been able to. We were refunded the cost for city service but not for the movers that we had to hire.Throughout this experience, we have never received an apology for the stress and logistical Olympics we have experienced. We have had so many issues with our order, from it needing to be recreated due to an IT error on PODS' end to the delay in pickup and delivery every single time. We have been promised call backs many times, but each time have had to call back ourselves to resolve errors on Pods' end. We have spent countless hours on hold and trying to get a hold of anyone to speak with, with little success.Thoroughly would never wish for my worst enemy to use PODS to move.

The lack of communication and professionalism from the Customer Advocacy department is beyond reproach. I have attempted to correspond with numerous individuals via phone and email to be dismissed without resolution. Marissa Ralston and Jaerron Harvey do not respond back to inquiries nor do they answer their phone/return voicemails. Matthew Vandenburgh at least acknowledged my complaints and then handed me off to the appropriate staff member (Marissa) who does nothing does not respond to direct emails. The idea that this company embodies mission and values seems to be more of a punchline rather than an actual commitment. "We care, We find a way, and We're flexible" is an absolute joke from what I've experienced. In the past 20 years of military moves this company has been the worse to deal with.

**THEY LOST MY POD!!****I have filed a complaint with better business bureau***Yes you read that correctly. It’s been over 2 weeks and I have no POD.MEANWHILE. I am sitting in an empty apartment. I call every day, I speak to a new person who doesn’t know what’s going on or can help and can’t locate my POD.I was told that I can not file a claim because that’s only for damages not lost pods. How is that even legal?? It’s missing. And it’s their fault.I had to buy an air mattress and a few items to get me by. I’ve taken off work. This behavior from a company is totally unacceptable.I have not been able to contact anyone who can actually help me. DO NOT tell me to email you at social media@pods I already did that and no one responded to meI will keep this updated as I hear back. Learn fro my mistake. I wish I just put everything in a uhaul and did it myself. :(

PODS moving and storage repeatedly over charged me and did not render the services promised in their contract. I issued a chargeback through my credit card, which was approved because services could not be rendered. Now, PODS is attempting to send my invoice (with charges for services not rendered) to collections. We ordered a POD to move from our apartment to our new house. The POD was successfully delivered and picked up. At this point, PODS moving and storage was unable to locate my POD. I was billed for an "empty container pick up" which did not occur. A full container was picked up.We asked the company to drop our POD off at our house on 9/29/2023. They could not accommodate this request due to their own shortcomings. They then attempted to bill me for the entire month of October when they couldn't deliver by the end of the month. They then proceeded to drop off the wrong POD to our house.I have spent hours on the hold with their support. The company is so disorganized and incompetent that they were unable to find my POD, or my account information. I was never billed for any services until after our POD was found. After they finally found our POD, it was dropped at our house in the middle of the street, literally blocking the roadway. This was without any notification. We repeatedly asked to speak to a manger to resolve all of these issue, but were repeatedly denied then told we would receive a call back. We never did. We spent close to 8 hours on the phone, most of this on hold. This company needs to get its house in order. I have wasted more time on just attempting to retrieve my own items than it would have taken us to move these items piece by piece with a consumer vehicle.PODS should immediately cease and desist its attempts to collect money for services that were never rendered.

The PODS experience was very disappointing. Everything got messed up-no containers were delivered correctly(long-distance move). When the mistake was reported the wrong containers were delivered two more times before we got the correct one. When we reported the errors we were treated as if we had done something wrong. The people we reported this to actually did not believe we were being truthful. We were charged for PODS mistakes and have yet to be able to resolve this at this point. At one point someone at PODS changed our information and told us we did not have an account and they had no record of our activity--that is after we had already paid them thousands of dollars. This has been an unnecessarily stressful experience. I strongly recommend to be wary of this company. \CAVEAT EMPTOR

We went with their recommended movers, the highest priced one and their top choice. They not only did a terrible job moving, even to the point of not using pads for all our furniture despite having an over abundance of them and many that we bought!! They also said they could not pack our ROKU TV because it had glass. We gave it to one of the movers, this was a scam!

They're quick to take your money, but delivery of the container was a nightmare. It was late over five days. We spent hours on hold/ with representatives on the phone or chat, all we got was lies and incompetent answers. They delayed our delivery several times, said they put in an expedited delivery, and it never showed on those scheduled dates, even if we spoke to a rep during delivery time. They assured us they had called the delivery company and they were on the way. Funny thing is, they never showed. They say they call you back and they just don't. They've wasted our time on several days, we had to buy extra kitchen items in order to cook and/or had more expenses due to eating out. We slept uncomfortably on air mattresses for an extended period of time, had no table or chairs. All that with three children. There was no offer of a refund or any kind of vouchers beforehand, no offer to make up for a delay that they caused. You just gotta deal with it. Nothing you can do. We could have signed a statement to receive money for the extra costs for eating out afterwards, but it included to keep the case confidential and we would not be allowed to talk about it. We can absolutely NOT recommend to go with PODS. Horrible experience. All drivers were nice and organized. If all PODS reps had been that way, there wouldn't be a 1-star review. Do yourself a favor and save yourself from the experience.

This company is a scam! Please don’t do it. Now that they have my pod at there storage facility they constantly change the prices and since you have to have a credit card on file with them, you have no choice. I am paying now two times the amount I was originally quoted, never again. I will post every negative review on every pods company name I can find absolutely disgusting.

PODS needs to work on their communication skills. When setting up a street delivery there should be a pop up that reads, “Your city may require a permit.” That simple sentence would have saved us a lot of trouble. The people working for PODS are the only reason this isn’t a one star review. The forklift driver at the Compton facility was incredibly helpful. I tried to tip him and he declined. Then he gave me a bottle of water. The driver who dropped off our POD in Long Beach was great at his job and incredibly friendly. The woman in Costa Rica who helped me on the phone when I needed to reschedule delivery was also great. So, PODS, 1 ⭐️, PODS Employees, 5 ⭐️s.

PODS features a form on the front page of their website that asks for moving dates, zip codes - and most importantly your email address - and features a big red button that labeled "Get a quote".But if you click that big red button you'll never get a quote. What you to get is added to their spam email list that goes into high gear immediately pumping out emails laden with tracking scripts encouraging you to call their sales office.Generally a bad idea to trust a company that lies from the start.

I did a military move from San Antonio Texas to Tacoma, Washington and Pods fumbled and screwed up every step of the way. From the outset they (almost) failed to pick up my Pod in San Antonio, claiming that one gate on the base was closed. (Cool, there’s other gates. But they attempted to just say screw it and go get it another day.) I had to pause my move and hold their feet to the fire to get their driver onto base, as agreed upon by our contract. Then at our destination, they failed to come pick up my Pod on the agreed upon time, which caused me to incur a $400 (arbitrary) storage fee. Lastly, military moves require empty and full weight tickets, which I ordered. I have called 7 times now in order to get those weight tickets so I can be reimbursed by the Government, and Pods has no clue where they are. They are the epitome of incompetent, and it is costing me serious dollars out of pocket.IF YOU ARE IN THE MILITARY, DO NOT TRUST THESE CLOWNS TO MOVE YOUR BELONGINGS.

PODS is by far the worst company I have ever unfortunately dealt with. Their customer service is despicable from the start. They will not give you a quote online and insist that you call and sit on hold for an hour for no reason. It's a scummy tactic. Don't worry it gets worse. Anytime you need to access your belongings you again have to call and sit on hold for an hour and they will only allow you access to YOUR belongings depending on if they feel like working that day.Hiring PODS was one of the worst mistakes of my life. They charge a fortune for the worst service possible and then deny you access to your stuff unless they feel like it and you've called 5 times and waited hours on hold.Never again PODS. Never again.

Maybe local Moves are ok. DO NOT hire them for International Moves. I used them to move from Canada to US. What a terrible idea. I spend over 20 hours on the phone over 2 weeks, poor response, poor communication, poor follow-up and so frustrating to work with. First of all they want you to send your personal information like Passports and Visas via EMAIL, for a company this size, they should have a more secure online system. Then their email does not take over 1MB of files. Their service-desk could not figure out what was going on. Secondly, their people who actually check your paperwork don't directly communicate with you or over the phone, all exchange is via their helpdesk. And all staff rotate shifts and don't know what happened so far. After all that, they over charged me for a month, when the delay was on their part. When I filed a dispute with them, they don't respond back. PAY EXTRA to go with someone else. The people just work there, so nothing against them. The system they use, the way they are structured, the governance on moves, is just the worst I have ever seen in my life, for any company. Never have I experienced such poor processes for a critical service.DON"T DO IT.
