Bought a vehicle from these guys 4 years ago. They did an Experian Auto Check Vehicle History Report. No accidents. I wasn't interested in buying any car if there was one. Someone rear ended me 6 weeks ago. Driver was high on weed. I asked Allstate for a diminished value claim on the car. Denied. I have a copy of the Carfax they just sent me. Seems there was an accident on 3-02-2020. 4 1/2 months "before" I purchased the vehicle on 7-21-2020. It was a rental that was "certified". Talk about shady... and isn't this fraud? Suing them in small claims court is an option. The Pinellas County Courthouse is right down the road... I used to work there for 4.5 years not long ago. I'll start looking for a fraud attorney on Tuesday as well. The car is now near worthless and seriously depressed in value with 2 accidents. Go somewhere else, anywhere else, for your car needs. And also for the folks reading this that "don't know", Hertz, or any dealership in general, is "LEGALLY OBLIGATED TO DISCLOSE" any accidents, and yes, even if the vehicle was sold "AS IS" they still can be sued years later for lack of disclosure "before" the time of sale or paperwork is signed = FRAUD. Lastly, that copy and paste response accomplished nothing but served to prep me to see your butts in court to answer for lying about the vehicle you sold me.

I HAVE BOUGHT 2 CARS FROM HERTZ IN CLEARWATER FL.
ALL THESE COMPLAINTS WERE POSTED IN 2021 AND HANDLED.
A UNFARE 2ND RATE NEWS CHANNEL " THE WING" TRIES TO KEEP PEOPLE IN THE PAST! I PERCIVE THAT THE WING HAS NOTHING TO WRITE ABOUT SO LETS ATTACK A COMPANY THAT HAS HELPED TRAVELERS FOR A LONG TIME.
I AM POSTING THIS BECAUSE HERTZ HAS ALWAYS TREATED ME FANTASTIC.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!! Two young adults/teenagers running the desk. I reserved a minivan for a road trip and when I arrived, they didn’t have any and couldn’t get them from another location. NO ATTEMPT made to help was made. Asked to speak with management but of course the manager was unavailable. One of them laughed when I asked if they could offer a ride to another location as I took and Uber to get there and had my 10 year old child with me. Very unprofessional! I have always rented from Hertz or their affiliates. They’ve lost my business.

Horrible experience! Booked through Sam’s Club. It wasn’t clear that this was not in the airport and also didn’t offer a shuttle. Since it’s offsite, hours are limited. After waiting for them to open, they didn’t have any cars available even though we had a reservation. Most of the cars on the lot are for sale since the company is in financial trouble. Go elsewhere!

I requested more information about a vehicle through the Hertz website. Upon receiving a return call, I drove 2 hours to learn the vehicle was sold the day prior. The sales manager had a bad attitude, and the over cleanliness was lacking.

I changed my car the rental from Santa fe (50$) a day to Toyota corolla (25$) they end up charging me for the whole duration for the Santa fe. The guy at the counter should have closed the contract and opened a new one when changing my car. He also told me that they emailed the company about the issue, but when I called nothing was reported and I had to merge the call between customer service and the branch. They end up charging me 180$ extra. No refund has been issued and I had to file a dispute with the bank.
Also, they charged me 109$ for tolls!!! Not quite sure about f that too.

Just the worst!!! The first car smelled like weed. Second was ok but now even though I returned it 3 days ago they are calling telling me that I’m still in possession of their stinky vehicle! Wow! Just the worst!! Customer service sucks real bad too! Will be changing my truck to another brand so I don’t have to deal with hurtz while it’s getting fixed! Horrible! Worst experience and treatment I have ever experienced as a customer anywhere!

A trash Hertz affiliate (so, a standard Hertz affiliate), staffed with poorly-trained employees.
I was there 30 minutes and everything was going wrong for everyone. People getting dirty cars, cars with broken windows, cars with electrical problems.
Hertz in general are awful but this franchise really outdoes themselves in striving to offer the rock-bottom, poorest service.

Hertz took our money for a 530pm pick up scheduled on 4.25.24.. we used the prepaid/pay now option. My husband gets there to pick up the car and they closed at 5. Despite their website and Google saying 6pm AND their website allowing us to book AND pay.. There was an employee there and he told my husband the computers are powered down for the day and he couldnt help us. Still waiting on our refund....

Don't book with the blonde Guy at the front desk there. Our car was prebooked and pre paid . He refused to help us saying his week is done and he had a long week and its past his work time..10 min after 12PM .He also sent us to another Hertz at the airport just to get us off his hair and the Hertz from the airport told us that they can't do that and thats a completely different company an franchise.
We even had a manager talk to him on the phone and he still told us the system is locked after 12PM , which is a total lie as the manager told him on the phone that he can do it ...
I understand you want to go home asap, but it's called customer service- we were the last customers, it would've taken him 5 min max as everything was paid and booked . Instead we lost another 2h in the traffic and ubers . Very disappointing, I'll definitely find the manager and rewrite this.

I had the worst experience with hertz just now. Lots of misleading communication and the manager, Kyle, had a horrible attitude. His attitude made the experience worst. He didn’t even bother looking at the text messages I received from the hertz confirmation department. Definitely going to enterprise from now on.
