"I recently took my anxious 90-pound dog in for a check-up, and the care we received was exceptional! From the front desk to the back office, everyone was kind and understanding. Dr. Garcia went above and beyond to make my dog feel comfortable, even getting down on the floor to sit with him to keep him calm. By the end of the visit, he was begging for more treats from the amazing techs. I highly recommend this office for their compassion and professionalism!"

I would suggest arriving at least 15 minutes late for your appointment as you will not been seen until 30 minutes post your appointment time. Past 3 visits have all been the same 30- 45 min wait for a simple annual check up or heart worm test. Also don’t try to refill your dog’s heart worm, flea and tick as they will always find a reason you need an appointment prior to filling. Please visit this practice ONLY if you enjoy spending extended periods of time at the veterinarian……..Also please review the passive aggressive response from the management team (below). What a very sad joke, no more words needed as this truly shows of character of the practice.

I work Monday through Saturdays most weeks. This is my dogs primary vet; however, I found a vet open on Sundays. This past Sunday I took one of my dogs in for just a heartworm test. His gums looked pale so we went ahead and did a full panel. Long story short, ended up at the emergency vet with some very difficult decisions. The emergency vet and I sent all the blood work and diagnosis over to Harborside. I called Monday to see if I could speak to his primary vet for some guidance. Nobody called me back, knowing my dog was extremely sick. Tuesday I received a text (because that’s a sensitive thing to do) stating the vet would not speak to me, that my dog had last been there in Nov 2023 and he’d needed to come in. Look I understand, you can’t give me a diagnosis over the phone. That’s not what I needed. I needed to speak with a vet I had been working with and had (what I thought) a trusting relationship. The fact that they simply refused to speak to me without dragging him back in for unknown tests (since again, nobody would speak to me). The fact that the emergency vet AND the vet that was not his primary vet, both made time to have a 5 minute conversation with me, but his actual vet wouldn’t…
I have a dying dog, whom is the patient of this animal clinic, and I felt they could’ve cared less.

My husband and I spent over 2 hrs at Harborside for a simple rescue exam. The rabies vaccine was missing a serial/batch number on the paperwork. I contacted the rescue organization and they provided more detailed information with this batch number. I called Harborside and said I had the additional paperwork and serial number and asked if they needed the paperwork. The girl said no, took the serial number down and agreed to contact me quickly to get the tag. Hours passed and I heard nothing. So I called back and spoke to Bethany and she asked for the new paperwork, so I forwarded it to her and was promised a call back today. No CALL AT ALL. We are trying to socialize our new rescue and get her into obedience training and can't do it until she has her Pinellas County rabies license.
Dr. Garcia was nice but really didn't do anything. The vet tech seemed new to the job and not very knowledgeable. The receptionist complained about the phone constantly ringing right in front of us. My husband left the exam room multiple times because we thought they had forgotten about us. Not the kind of customer service one would expect from a veterinary office.
We waited way too long and we were new customers. Never going back.

They have literally saved us thousands of dollars on our dogs dual TPLO surgeries and follow up x-rays. We drive all the way from Orlando because we think this is the best place to take our pup.

We had a poor experience and would not recommend this animal hospital. We were overcharged and the staff members were not truthful with us. There are too many options out there to receive subpar service.

This vet is beyond amazing. I trust this vet with my fur babies any day. Dr. Garcia has helped my babies more time than I can thank her, from an infected dog bite to trying to figure out why my dog was sick, the vet tech laisha cares so much for your babies, it feels so good to have such a great staff in that office who truly care for your animals like their own. They are always so good about getting you in for appts especially if it’s an emergency they do everything they can for you. I am so greatful for everything they do for my pups Malibu and Axel. Thank you Harborside.

Today was my first time taking my pug to Harborside. It was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful.I really appreciate their transparency with pricing and asking me about each service before moving forward. They were even able to cut my crazy pugs toenails without any problems. I'm very happy I gave this vet a try and will continue to bring my other fur babies here.

A friend of mine took a community cat that he has been feeding and taking care of to Harborside on Saturday. He was paying in CASH!! He did feel comfortable with all the questions and personal information they asked for. They would not see the cat for several hours! Turns out to be ringworm, but they kept him waiting until they finally decided he was not going anywhere. I told him to take the cat to Blue Pearl. Will not go there anymore and definitely not recommend them.

My husband had an absolutely terrible experience at Harborside Animal Hospital. We were forced to endure a mind-numbing 2-hour ordeal, filling out pointless paperwork and providing unnecessary documents like driver's licenses and credit cards, despite our willingness to pay in cash. The staff were indifferent and downright incompetent, unable to navigate their own computer system. After wasting 2 hours of our time, they casually informed us that their system was down and refused to provide any assistance. We were well aware of their inflated prices and were prepared to shell out, but we never anticipated such unprofessional and rude service from a clinic with exorbitant fees. Save yourself the agony and avoid this clinic at all costs.

The vets and the vet assistants at Harborside Animal Hospital have gone above and beyond to help save my cat Onyx who in November was on the brink of death. They are so loving with all the animals brought in and very supportive of owners. I wouldn’t take my cat anywhere else. And thanks to them my baby boy got a clean bill of health today.

They're fairly friendly, but they are expensive for a canine checkup and shots. I moved a little north in the county, so I will be finding another local vet. They're not worth the cost with an extended drive.
