This place is the best! My son has a 2017 Toyota Tacoma and a bearing was whining on the rear axle. Bryan and Andy took great care of the truck and it’s now as quiet as new! Even cost less than I was quoted.

The kia dealership in Clearwater was worthless. The next so called repair shop was worthless also. Went to ⚙️ gearworks. Bryan was very professional and honest. My 2020 stingergt2 is now running like new. 👍🏻. Thank you for a positive experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely the worst repair shop I’ve dealt with. Zero organization & communication. I was told it would be approx 4 weeks lead time if I brought a loose, disassembled axle in. After almost 6 weeks & me contacting them every time, waiting for correct seals it was finished without the slightest concern for poor customer service. Additionally nothing discussed at checkout about an additional 3% tacked on for using credit card.

Fantastic work at a fair price. My F150 differential had a symphony of noises after 180k+ miles, and after a rebuild is now quiet as when it was new. Judging by their backlog (2 months when I first stopped in), the word is out about this shop. Highly recommended.

Brian at the front desk is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He took his time to help me look for the parts I need to get my truck up and running.

I had a great experience here. Brian was very knowledgeable and the parts were in stock. I will be using them in the future over the large parts racing companies.

I took my 2013 Wrangler in for a rear pinion seal and axle seal. The guys did a great job and let me hang around while they meticulously (like surgeons) removed my axle shaft and pinion. This is the go-to place for gearwork etc...

Had these guys change gears from 410 to 456 in our jeep that we never drive except for events and stays on road. When we came to get our gears done we asked if they could look into the rattle we were hearing. They said they replaced everything and the rattle was not the rear.. So we kept looking for the issue . Trans goes out and we had another shop rebuild it and asked them to look into the noise. WELL they found it,, The rear that gearworks did was falling apart. The pinion was loose and they never really checked anything. Just slapped gears in and done.. Only lasted 3200 miles. Well being it was 2 years i knew i was past the warrentee but felt like they dropped the ball for a show jeep that stay garage kept with less than 1000 miles a year on it. So i called them and tried to speak with them about my issue only to get hung up on.Was a bit shocked to see such a childish reaction to me bringing up the issue to them,, NO 'Bring it in let us look at it" or anything. Just a shity little guy with zero attention to customer service. No one honest would act like they did. Now i got to have the rear and front difs torn down and measured to see what they didnt do right in the front as well.. Went back to the mechanics who recommended them and they were embarrassed as well for me..I may be one guy but these guys are not sending any work there way again so I know they will loose more customers than just me..

After 2 1/2 months of calling, I went in to get the status on my differential. They could find my differential (no small feat in that junk pile of a shop), it was in the identical spot it was placed 2 1/2 months earlier. I grabbed it, took to a shop in St. Pete and had it back in 4 days. I suppose if you were in Baghdad and your lawnmower broke and all the other repair places were bombed out, you might consider Gear-not-works. But only if your grass was chest high.

Paid them over $1200 for ring and pinion install in wrangler, gears howl and wine and now they say no warranty on gears?! If I knew this I would have installed myself. Ask for guarantee in writing!
