I’m writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I recently received at your Clearwater location on 10/14/24. This was my very first time in this store. The level of service provided fell short. Specifically, store manager Brian and cashier Lorenda denied a sample tile (#1) return due to the cardboard under the tile being slightly wet. Original packing and plastic was intact/closed/not opened. After two hurricanes back to back, and store closure I was not able to return sooner. Lorenda lacks customer care skills and was verbally aggressive “I don’t have all day to argue. I’m not going to return your money. This is crap. Would you buy it if you see it in the shelf”. I asked for store credit instead and she also denied that. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and take steps to improve the customer experience in the future and increase sympathy towards your clients. I believe your store has the potential to offer excellent service, and I hope to have a better experience on my next visit.

Jesus was EXTREMELY rude and condescending during my visit to the Clearwater location on Sunday 9/15/24~ Jesus became argumentative, dismissive, and condescending when I requested to be directed to the solid Bamboo Stranded Floor options. Jesus insisted that there were no solid wood Bamboo flooring options, commenting that there were only Engineered and Laminated Bamboo flooring. When I explained to Jesus that I identified Solid Stranded Bamboo selection online, and in-stock at his location called “Mercer” he repeatedly stated that the “Mercer” flooring had been discontinued and was no longer in-stock or available to be ordered. I then proceeded to the front of the store and requested a manager. The manager Brian responded and located the Mercer Bamboo flooring and apologized profusely for Jesus’s behavior. Brian proceeded to offer me, and my wife his undivided attention and shared his flooring knowledge while answering our questions~

Chris was super helpful, getting the grout colors for us, checking to make sure the caliber of the tiles were all the same and making sure there was enough tile in stock. The sweet blonde in the design department also helped us purchase the correct vanity by going to grab our tile so we could see how everything looked together (I didn't get her name!). We shopped today on Sept 3rd and left with over 2k in purchases thanks to the great customer service we received. I appreciate good customer service and these folks were great!
