I purchased a vehicle here. The sales staff were kind and friendly. My test drive was driving in a 1 block circle around the dealership!? I've never experienced such an insulting test drive experience, as if I'm not competent enough to drive on the highway or ANY other road than those directly around the dealership!? This also raised a red flag that perhaps there was an issue with the acceleration in the vehicle that the salesman was trying to hide. Trade in values are half that of other dealerships where I received estimates for my current vehicle. This is where they make their money, so I recommend you sell your current vehicle elsewhere and make your purchase here if they have the vehicle that you want. I know my review sounds pretty negative but the sales staff and the buying experience (the paperwork portion) was seriously 10 times better than other dealerships with judgmental and insulting sales staff, that I'll return to CarMax for the friendly no pressure experience. We all have room for improvement. I do recommend this CarMax, just be aware of the issues I noted. Hopefully they have improved those issues by now, though I doubt they will change their trade-in prices since they're here to make money after all.

They're offering for our used car and the pricing was ridiculous. You will get a much better deal at a conventional automotive dealership. If you buy here you pay too much

My husband purchased a Kia stinger a year ago. the transmission is now slipping on it. they're trying to save his extended warranty doesn't cover it. we'll have to pay out the pocket now. I feel like that's just crazy. you going to give somebody warranty on a vehicle longer enough time before the car breaks down. then when the car breaks down you think we're going to make payments on a vehicle. almost $6 to $800 a month plus insurance and paid to get a transmission dead. no way do not get a car from this company. you're better off going to a new car lot and making a bigger sacrifice cuz this will ruin your life and they suck

Even though I ended up not buying a car the experience was excellent. I had a car transported down to Florida from NY paying the $999 transport fee. Once the car arrived I realized that a noisy V8 engine in a vehicle that drove like a truck and sounded like the Indy 500 was not for me. Returning the car was an easy process and I received all my money back except for the transport fee which I knew about. The sales person Jamie was great to work with, knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional.

Carmax has a great service when you're buying your vehicle. They make it so easy, they will even call you after hours and during the weekends to make sure you have everything right BUT after your purchase when you start having issues with it, good luck trying to get a hold from anyone from the maintenance service. They never answer the call, never call back. My warranty is almost over, of course, and I can't have my problem fixed.

Quick and easy, did the quote to sell my car online first, liked the price so went to the Eastbay location. They were really friendly and FAST. They did a quick check over on car, quoted same price as online, I signed a few forms and I had the check ALL WITHIN 30-35 MIN!!! WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

The process was straight forward, the office and appraiser confirmed my sell-price. I waited 20 minutes for the confirmation and then took 10-15 minutes to clean out my car while the office/salesperson filled out the paperwork. Then 15-20 minutes for the final docusign paperwork to be completed. Everyone I came in contact with was pleasant to work with and my overall experience was great. My only wish was to get more for my used car in the transaction.
