Good food, good service and the people that work there are the bestL. I went there one time to get a few things I needed and something to eat when I went to pay for it all I had with me was my debit card and for whatever reason it was not working and every other form of payment I had forgotten at home. The lady that worked there very nice say her name was Tina, she opened her own purse and took the money out and paid for everything that I put on the counter and told me that she had been in the same position before. I think her and told her how much I appreciated it and her, and that I would pay her the very next time that I was up there and thank her once again.

If you can imaging the inside of an older out of date 7-11 with a cooking area behind the counter, A flickering yellowish florescent light in the far corner, than you might imagine what the inside of this store looks. You might consider it a “Grocery” store as Dollar General thrives in food deserts. It’s the few if only choices to by a can of Hormel Chilli and a tube of toothpaste, more a corner market with beer than anything else. I went twice here to pick up something quick, the first time I was told they were not selling sandwiches as the health department closed them temporarliy, a big misunderstanding according to the clerk. One thing that irritated me to no end, that when I checked out with a credit card, it asked me how much of a tip I wanted to leave for the person checking me out. What kind of nonsense is that? TIPS is an ancronym which some will say stands for “To Ensure Prompt Servcie”. Having someone scan a couple of items and put them into a plastic bag doesn’t seem to me like something you need to reward. Owners, pay your employees a living wage, the corner store is already charging me more than a grocery store, pass some of the love to your employees, not embarrass your customers when they, like myself, push the skip butten and get a warry look from the clerk. You loose a star from being mediocer to needs improvement if not by this action alone. I wont be coming again, rather I’ll wait and drive the extra 10 miles to another venue.

We stayed in town at the RV park for a week. We were able to get propane, groceries, and a hot meal all at the same place. Selection of groceries is about what you would expect from a typical camp store. It couldn't really serve as a main grocer for a town, but for odds and ends and cold beer, it works. It is odd that there were no prices on things, but that's a minor niggle. Where this place really shines is the restaurant/deli. Nothing we ate was bad and as someone who loves a good cheese steak. Believe it or not, there's is in the top 10. It was that good. Deli sandwiches were on par with anything I've ever had. And they deliver! Happy family behind the counter who seems to love feeding their community. Loved being there!

Really good food, very reasonable prices. Not very far from where the trail passes through town. Had breakfast and dinner there.
