Spotless room! Friendly management. It's such a cute place. We only were exploring the area and just stayed overnight in the efficiency room. The bed was very comfy, and the room and the grounds were impeccably clean. We hope to return when we can stay longer and rent one of the cottages.

Locally owned and you can tell they put a lot of pride in their property. Aimee had great communication from making the reservation to check-out. The room was exactly as described. This is an excellent location for walking all around the downtown area. We will absolutely be back!

Visited not long after hurricane. Trying to help the area recover. Great people great area. Will go back again!Nearby activities: Fishing pier. Small beach.Walkability: Easy to walk to village.

Efficiency Room #6: The owner, Amy, personally interacted with me twice before check-in which I found to be very personable service. She also offered early check-in, free of charge which was appreciated and wish I could have taken advantage of. Code was texted for keyless entry after hours. I was pleasantly surprised how extremely clean and well stocked my accommodations were for a standard room. Everything a person could possibly need for a short stay was in the room: toiletries, dishes, silverware, dish towels, etc. Grounds were very well kept and photograph worthy. The pavilion with porch swings and tables was amazing and had excellent view of the Gulf sunset. I did not use the bicycles, kayaks, or golf carts but plan to on my next visit. This was my first time visiting Cedar Key and feel no need to look at other places. I will most definitely be returning and have recommended to family and friends.

We were married in Cedar Key a few years ago. Our reception was across the street from the Faraway Inn. It was the perfect place for our guests to stay with a sunset view and golf carts to use for exploring the area.

We stayed here this last weekend. It was amazing, the room as clean, and we had everything we needed, we rented a golf cart and cruised around town. The employees and the other guests were fantastic, everyone was so nice. The sun sets are unbelievable and you are so close to the water. Very close to down town. We will definitely be back!!!

Nice old Florida style place. The cabin was great and nicely maintained. Local market is 2 minute walk. Little beach right across the street. Staff takes care of the place and the cat will eat any extra steak you have.

Cat food for local cats kept feet from the door of our room (fly's and smell) Other guest dogs barking during the night, toilet area for very small people, bikes were old, rusty and tires were flat. Paid in cash in full after we arrived because we were offered a " Cash discount" No ventilation in rooms (cooled by small window units) yet later the day of check out, after we had left we were advised by a call that our credit card (we used to make reservations) had been charged 150.00 because someone smelled smoke thru the ventilation (they do not have, window units only) that we had smoked cigarette's in the room. We advised the caller, that was not true and impossible because the " Pot" being smoked by other people on that property was so strong no one could smell anything over that or if you stood at the door of our room the cat and cat food smell was over whelming, yet we did not want to ruin others weekend so we kept it to ourselves. Management was so rude we will never return there. Stayed there years ago (different owners) and over 40 times at other locations since in Cedar Key (never an issue)

Aimee is awesome, she was very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to help us. We will definitely be visiting here again. Room was nice, clean, and great location everything within walkimg distance, awesome sunset view from our room. Thanks so much Aimee for making our weekend a great one.

We passed this place a few years ago when we were staying somewhere else. Loved it. It just looks so "old Florida", but neat and clean and updated. We've stayed in three different rooms there (cottages and an efficiency), and they were all great. The owners are super nice and efficient, very helpful, you feel like part of the family. We're already planning our next trip to Faraway Inn. Be sure to rent a golf cart from them . . . so much more fun to not have to touch your car once you check in! A very laid back place, totally relaxing.
