There is still some work to do after Hurricane Ian. This is a fun and safe place for your family. Charter a Boat with Captain Buck or many other captains. Just ask the staff and they can arrange everything for you.

The island is great. The main pool however, does not allow guests to bring their personal water bottles into the pool area, and the bar workers were incredibly rude regarding this new rule of theirs.

We stayed for a week here in June 2022. It had been years since I had been here before (over 20) and I was happy to see the island still held much of of the same charm as it did years ago. It's a bit bigger and built up more, but still very quiet and relaxing. Our home was DIRECTLY on the beach and made for an amazing time.We brought most of our own food, so we only ate out once while on the island. If you're a club member (or stay at a home that is part of the club) you can enjoy the club pool and tennis courts also. We would go to the beach during the morning and lunch, then the pool in the afternoons. Made for a great vacation that we can't wait to go back to.My drawback is the cost of things on the island. I get an up-charge, but the cost of things here make Disney look like a dollar general. Very expensive, especially for dining and such.Staff is very friendly on the island though, and the trip over and back was pleasant. We can't wait to come back for another trip!

ZERO STARS! We rented a duplex that was undergoing active construction, which the management company is aware of and purposefully not disclosing to renters. This construction included hammering, drilling, and sawing around 8am through the end of day, and at times would shake the entire home on it's foundation. The construction workers indicated this had been going on for weeks and will continue for a few months. The management company was apathetic and downright condescending when we voiced our complaints.I would urge anyone looking at homes managed by the NC Island Club to look elsewhere, once they get your money they are done with you.Additionally, there are only a few restaurants on the island (none outstanding, typical fried or overcooked fish). The beaches are full shell beach (most broken, so bring shoes), and the water is a murky green. If this is a family trip, your children will NOT be able to play on the beach, it truly is a full shell beach, NO white sand. Also be aware that the water on the island has a distinct smell and flavor (in our home it smelled stagnant ad was unusable to cook with, wash fruit with, or even shower). Most places have filters, but the flavor is still there.

Absolutely horrific experience. DO NOT under any circumstances stay here. Right off the bat: half the furniture is broken, bed frame collapsed, refrigerator broke day 2 and they have not replaced it. All of the food ordered has now gone bad and have not had any replaced. Their solution was storage containers filled with ice. That leaked all over the floor almost causing multiple slips including a pregnant woman. We have no ice left because it all melted. No food, no refrigeration. The golf cart is an absolute disaster, falling apart and borderline unsafe. Shower curtain had some sort of brown/red dried substance on it; interpret at your own risk. We spoke to the representative 3 times prior to arrival about these concerns. We were assured everything was repaired concerning the previous reviews. We were lied to and have no recourse. 3 more days here and honestly considering just leaving and cutting losses. We are out thousands of dollars, they have been zero help, and frankly I don’t feel comfortable with my family staying here.Avoid at all costs. The list goes on if anyone wants the full documented list but I wouldn’t do business with the island club at all after this and I can’t recommend that you do either.

Beautiful place key lime time! Nice beaches and paths for golf carts. Only suggestion to anyone is make sure you understand where you are going because it is extremely remote with no stores except gift stores and 2 bars total on the entire island. Everything is shipped in by boat so don't run out of supplies, booze or food!

North Capitiva is a beautiful place. We rented a home on the beach and the island club helped take care of all the details. You need to charter a ferry to get there, and back. You also need to arrange a golf cart for transportation. Island club sent a thorough info email, including links, so I could arrange everything seamlessly. They handled all my luggage to and back.I should mention, we had a little trouble with the AC our first night. You should keep in mind that everything closes down by 700pm there and I only realized the AC issue after that but I called and left a message. Island club sent a technician first thing in the morning and took care of the problem. It was an amazing trip and Island club has impeccable service that will guide you through this very unique trip.

Terrible. The Club booked us into a duplex (242) where the other half was an active construction zone (and apparently had been for a couple weeks and would be for another month). Of course, despite knowing this construction was happening the Club did not disclose it before we booked or at any time prior to our arrival. Banging and shaking and drilling started every weekday before 8am and continued into the late afternoon. We brought this to the attention of management hoping to find a resolution on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before we realized they just didn’t care and weren’t going to do anything about it. On Wednesday one of the staff members even started laughing about it saying, “yeah, the people last week were complaining about that too.” Subsequent emails to management trying to find an amicable resolution have also been ignored. The staff was completely non-responsive to the core issue. The second this company has your money they are done with you. We will NEVER come back to this island and highly recommend that you find somewhere else to stay.
