Visited Captiva and took a yoga class on the beach one morning with Ambu Yoga with Lindsey. It was $30 and probably the most boring yoga class I've taken. We didn't even go through one full sun salutation. Most of the class I was sitting on my bottom or laying on my back. I feel like I wasted my money.

Loved, Loved, Loved the cool early morning class I did on the Kings Crown Lawn at South Seas Island Resort. The instructor was wonderful. I LOVED doing sun salutations as bunnies bopped in and out of the bushes behind us and boats bobbed by. Ambu Yoga was the best way to start the day and warmed me up for kayaking with my daughter later . See photos and videos on my blog--link on profile.

I did a beach yoga class while on vacation here. The instructor was easy to hear which can be a challenge with beach yoga. It was really a lovely practice and she did such a seamless job incorporating the beauty of the surroundings into the spiritual aspect. Loved it.

Ambu yoga is by far my favorite yoga studio. Yali the owner and instructor is the best teacher I’ve had. They have such a variety of classes and accommodate to all skill levels. Very caring staff. I highly recommend stopping in for classes or to shop their boutique.

Fantastic place. As a beginner, I was made to feel very welcome. A beautiful space with thoughtful, warm instructors with classes to fit any level. And keen appreciation for the local environment

I ? Ambu Yoga! The instructors are all very loving and passionate about yoga. The classes can accommodate those looking to get a hard workout in or ones looking to just try yoga for the first time. Yali the owner and instructor is fantastic! You have to stop in for a class while on Captiva or just to shop the boutique.

The owner is an exceptional instructor with a multi yoga discipline and experiential background. Every class attended moved my practice forward. She addresses and uplifts all levels of experience and interested parties who simply want to explore yoga for the first time. Over the past 4 years, when we are on the island, we attend classes..and they are consistently uplifting and challenging. A broad range of classes are available. Mats and blocks on site. The venue is clean and comfortable and the yogi community is welcoming...

Beach yoga this morning was the perfect way to start our day! I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking for an all level yoga class on Captiva or Sanibel. Great instructor and beautiful location. Thanks Ambu Yoga, we'll be back again!

We definitely enjoyed our Beach Yoga experience. Yali was a great instructor and gently pushed us further into our poses. It was so peaceful and a great workout.

Went to morning beach yoga for the first time with Ambu this week, and just after that, I will be purchasing a monthly pass! I was a little nervous to do this first class after not practicing any yoga in at least a year, but it had a really friendly, nonjudgmental atmosphere while still being challenging.

Bought a $75 weekly pass and attended 4 classes. 3 ambu flow and 1 ambu gentle. Got to experience 3 different instructors, thanks Yali, Liz & Katarina. Everyone had their own style. Yali snuck a nice little bit of challenge into the flow class with an opportunity for crow. I hadn't tried that in a while. I enjoyed Liz's gentle flow the best. That's really what I'm into right now and she was kind enough to 'private' teach for me. Don't discount those gentle classes yogis, go try one :) I'm not a hot yogi, so I can't speak to those. All the staff I encountered were friendly and welcoming, the studio is large, spacious and has excellent equipment if you don't travel with your own. I really enjoyed my 12 minute walk to class from the beach end of Wightman. A really great addition to a chill week at the beach. Hope to return soon :)

Yali took me and two of my friends (along with 2 others) out this past Friday for a 2 1/2 hours stand up paddleboard yoga lesson. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. She took us to a beautiful spot surrounded by mangroves. She is so warm and personable. It was a fantastic class and she was very encouraging. If you were on the fence as to whether or not you should do this, I urge you to go ahead and sign up! I only wish I had done it sooner so I would've also had time to do one of her in studio classes.
