“I recently moved and needed to find a new vet for my two fur babies. After reading many reviews and doing extensive research, especially because one of my dogs has IMHA and requires special care, I chose Islandside Animal Hospital. When I took my dogs in for their teeth cleaning, they were incredibly well taken care of, and everyone was so nice. The prices are definitely reasonable, too. I highly recommend Islandside Animal Hospital.”

“East West is the most amazing and caring vet clinic I’ve been to. Our fur baby was brutally attacked and the doctor and staff were so attentive and worked closely with Blue Pearl to get him transferred to their clinic to perform surgery. The staff and doctor went out of their way to keep us posted and make sure our baby was well taken care of. The doctor was so kind to volunteer to monitor overnight. If you want a team that truly cared about your pet, don’t think twice. Thank you East West for everything you do!”

“We had to make the dreaded decision for our 13 year old Golden retriever this past week. He was part of our family since 8 weeks old. The staff and vet here were so kind through the whole process from the 1st phone call to the end. They were very patient and made everything as comfortable as they could. Just wanted to say thank you for being so compassionate. We even recieved a hand written card from the vet who was with us that day.”

“I needed to board my dog Jack for the Memorial Day weekend and being new to the area I wasn't sure who I could trust. Where we used to live my dog's vet was with VCA so it was nice to see there was a VCA here in Cape Coral and they also had a pet resort. So for me, it was a win win situation. It was so easy to transfer Jack's records over here since both veterinarians are under VCA. Before boarding I took him in to get caught up on his vaccines and to establish a relationship with the new vet. Everyone there was so friendly, patient and professional. Boarding him here was a breeze they didn't require prescreening like some other boarding places in the area. They didn't require unnecessary vaccines, just the main ones. Baywood does one on one care with the animals so the dogs get the full attention of the technician, which I loved. When I dropped off Jack the boarding tech came to pick him up at the waiting room and asked me to leave him like you would a child on the first day of kindergarten. I thought it was funny but I totally understood. When I picked up Jack he was happy to see me and the boarding tech. told me how it did. I took him home and bathed him (my choice) and he passed out on the couch. Now Jack has only been boarded twice before this and both times they were not pleasant. Both times he was boarded was in Broward county on the east coast of Florida. One time he caught kennel cough (he was vaccinated) and the other time he came back hoarse and with a rash on his stomach. When I picked up Jack at Baywood he was peppy, he wasn't hoarse, didn't get any illnesses, nothing. If you don't mind not having all the perks of a pool, live webcams and group playtime then I would highly recommend this pet resort. The only thing I would have loved is to see the inside where they slept, to see how big it is. This will be our go to place for boarding Jack when he can't come with us.”

“Our cav had a rough, first time ocean experience while on vacation in Cape Coral a few weeks ago. When we got back to our rental, she began wheezing, breathing heavily and shaking. We were worried about water aspiration into her lungs and the ingestion of salt water since she has CKD. I called multiple Veterinary clinics/hospitals and VCA Chiquita was the ONLY one that would take us right away. Courtney and the other receptionists were understanding, caring and extremely welcoming to us out of towners. I was probably taken back within 10 minutes...Once the tech and doctor came in, I was beyond relieved for their care and treatment of our pup. They were thorough with their process/pricing, which ended up being less than anticipated!
Fortunately her x-ray came back clear and I was put at ease that she was going to be okay. Dr. Tuttle even messaged me the next day checking on her! I was pleasantly surprised by my whole experience there and honestly wish our primary veterinary ran their practice this way. At least we have a vacation vet to count on now whenever we travel back to CC!”
