I made a reservation for picking up a rental at around 8am, once I arrived for pick up the next day, they told me they didn’t have me on schedule or a vehicle readily available even though I was physically there in the office the day before and talked with the associate at the counter of my arrival the next morning. I decided to go with Turo instead and they actually didn’t waste my time

Horrible service. Tried to pick up a car yesterday around 12 and they called and said they had no cars until the late afternoon. I then tried to reschedule for the next day at 9:30. I arrived to the location and found out they had no cars. They did not offer to try and help or anything. I was told I just had to wait and they didn’t know when they would get another vehicle in… won’t be using hertz again. This is why I am almost always use Enterprise.

This was the second time I have rented a car from hertz in cape coral. Again the experience was good. Friendly and no hassle experience. Would highly recommend herz car rental in cape coral, Florida.

The worst service in the world the staff and the manager very rude and unprofessional to top it up the manager charge my credit card for gas when I filled up the tank 2 blocks away before returning the car plus charged my card 400.00 because he said I smoked in the car I didn't even smoke I had to call the main office to get my money back he's a thief stay away from here please

About the dumbest employees a place could hire. Paul's brain doesn't work, he is incapable and should probably be doing something else with his time like playing with blocks... Don't waste your time here, literally go anywhere else and you'll have a better experience.
Not the first time either, so seeing Hertz reply to other reviews with not "the standard".....that's hilarious but
IT IS the standard. Every car I've tried to rent from here is always a problem, every single time.....Paul simply doesn't belong there, and doesn't represent your company in a good light. You can see all the negative reviews as proof this is typical behavior for this location.. get rid of him.

I wanted to exchange my vehicle with a miner error message (engine light), the unmotivated lady wasn't interested in the fact that I was traveling with two children. All I got was the answer that you don't exchange airport vehicles and I should go to Fort Myers!!
I've only had problems with Hertz since the beginning and this was the absolute highlight!!
I can only promise that neither I nor anyone I know will ever book anything through Hertz again!!!

They didn’t have the car I booked and wanted me to cancel and rebook for double the cost. Extremely rude and dismissive. Would not recommend!!!

The rental process was painless but make sure you know what they consider a "week", to them it's 5 days not 7, which should have been explained in the beginning. We were also charged a $10 fee on top of our $2 toll !
They said that's what the toll company charges but it isn't, the toll company charges $3, our total should have been $5 not $12.!!
And so Hertz response is a thank you for the review we'll strive to do better??
Well how about doing better then?
I've looked at a dozen of your reviews and they're all the same complaints, at what point do you do better?
How about starting by refunding my $10 back on the toll up charge!

NO STARS FOR YOU JUST A WARNING YOUR CAR IS NOT A GUARANTEED...DO NOT RENT HERE...AS WELL THEY OVERCHARGE...CLERK stated as long as you are here before 5pm when we close there is no extra charge , mind you my pick was Thurs at 107pm...I called them Fri at 12:27pm to ask when was the lastest I could return the car with no charge, male claerk stated as long as its here before 5pm when we close, I returned it at 3:34pm-still they charges me $34.30 for 2 hrs, RIDICULOUS and they gave me the car with 1/4 full and I returned almost full. BUNCH OF CROOKS...THIS IS A SMALL COMMUNITY CUST SERV IS A PRIORITY...NEVER AGAIN

We had a reservation thru priceline for a certain sum for 7 ppl. We get there there is no one in that office we had search thru the whole building to get someone to help us. Then she says oh we don't have a car available for you they only had 3 suv and suppose they were all reserved. She was rude and didn't even try to assist of finding another car at a different location.until we asked her too. I will recommend not to go that location not professional and no customer service. Ended up going to enterprise and get a car that we needed and customer service was amazing.

So I'm dealing with a collision and I'm trying to figure out what the cost out of pocket will be and what my insurance covers. I spoke to my insurance first and they tell me to call Hertz for pricing on vehicals; so when I call them the girl who answers the phone was incredibly rude like I was bothering her trying to ask questions to understand. She tells me I need to handle everything through my insurance and when I tried to explain that I was and I was just trying to understand the pricing for renting the vehicle she still couldnt give me a price and was getting louder repeating what she said like I didn't hear her the first time. Who ever is handling phones calls needs better customer service training at this location. Thank you making an already stressful situation worse.

Incompetency From “Manager” down to the hourly employee working the phone… This location truly gives Hertz a bad name and someone from their corporate offices should audit their territory a little tighter to avoid allowing these employees to misrepresent the Hertz brand. When you call in the robot operator advises you that “the call may be recorded for quality or training purpose(s)” and he/she is apparently unaware of that, but this is the same employee who throws outlandish accusations at customers with no basis whilst claiming to be a “manager” - Expect to be mishandled in the worst way and have all of your time wasted.

I got a call from Hertz Car Rental on 902 Delprado Blvd. in Cape Coral. I had a reservation made from State Farm which stated a pick up truck would be ready for me this morning. The representative that call me was very abrupt And unprofessional. Whoever she was taking orders from, didn’t seem to care about the customer and mentioned to her that they had a vehicle available, but they will not reserve it to me Even though I had A reservation. After I mentioned that I wanted to speak with a manager or a higher up, they simply hung up the phone. I am Cape Coral business owner for 30 years and I’ve never Had this type of experience from a national company! This is my first review I’ve ever had to make with this level of dissatisfaction and disbelief, that the company like Hertz hires Unqualified representatives to take care of their customers.
