Honestly, I have a mixed opinion of Dan's fan City. We purchased three ceiling fans for around $2,000 to years ago and recently one fan in an office that quite frankly isn't used. All that much started not working. I think we paid almost $500 for this specific ceiling fan and I'm being told that I have to purchase a $70 part to fix it. The reason we went with Dan's fan City is the idea of product quality and I don't really feel that a 2-year life on a ceiling fan really bodes well for that quality claim. I've purchased much less expensive ceiling fans in the past and had no issues ever. Just frustrating when you buy into the quality claim and start having issues.7/10 I get a call from someone from their corporate office with the name of Darby or something along those lines in his smug attitude towards me was a little shocking. Asking how long I've lived in Florida, evidently he knows more about my electrical system at the house than I do even though he's never been there. I'm just amazed if this is the attitude that this company has. I can't see how they've been in business as long as they have. He wants to get into a pissing match with me over what turned out to be a $64 part which should not have broken after 2 years if they sell the quality of products that they do. He was more interested in telling me low level surges can cause the issue, but that would also cause issues to my other non-dan's fan City fans which are working flawlessly. You need to teach your people customer service not smug attitudes.

These guys are fantastic. I really wanted options and someone to help guide me on what I needed. Yes, prices are higher than a Home Depot or Lowe’s, but you get an actually fan expert and have options to mix and match to get styles we wanted. I will for sure come back to Dan’s anytime I need a fan!

We had a great experience here! Our first visit weeks ago was just to check things out and we couldn’t have been happier. Even though the two men in the shop knew we weren’t purchasing that day they were kind, knowledgeable and accommodating.We returned recently and purchased five fans (and yes I always price check to make sure I’m getting the best deal). We opted to install ourselves because their install dates were 2-3 weeks out. First four were a breeze and then we ran into an issue with the final fan. We called the store & Cristina was amazing!She walked us through and when we realized it was a stupid mistake on our part we apologized for wasting her time and she could not have been more gracious advising us and telling us to call anytime! I feel the need to mention in regards to another review here- I purchased two Dixie Bells for my living room and they are super quiet and efficient so perhaps the other reviewer had an installation issue because it’s definitely not the fans!We will be back when we’re ready for new outdoor fans! Thanks so much to the whole team!

Purchased 2 identical fans three years ago and after a year we had continual issues with one of the fans. The folks at Dan’s ordered and replaced the defective fan. Now that’s great customer service.We have a covered lanai and it pays to purchase fans that can endure the Florida humidity.You may pay a bit more at this company as they specialize in quality fans but then you always get what you pay for.Highly recommend them as well as D.E.C. Electrical for installation.Thank you again !!!!!

I recently bought 3 ceiling fans. One is very good; a Troposair Tuscan. It is quiet and moves a lot of air. I also bought 2 Dixie Belle Outdoor fans. They are VERY noisy. They sound like an airplane. I went back and voiced my concern. Stephen said he, in 16 yrs., never had a complaint about a Dixie Belle. He said because they are a high capacity fans they will make air noise. BUT we asked about noise in the store prior to purchase, and he said don't get a 3-blade fan because they are noisy. So we chose the Dixie Belle. He NEVER said they will make noise. NOW He said, " there is nothing I can do. He said run it on low speed." "I said it still makes a lot of noise." Oh well he said. I will NEVER give a good rating to Dan's Fans because of the way he steam rolled the conversation. Go to Lowes or Home Depot. They stand behind their products.

service after the sale HORRIBLE. Ordered fan and light kit to be insstalled. On the day of installation, installer shows and tells us no light kit. Not sure when it will be available. We call Dans and were told that is was backordered. several weeks later still NO WORD from Dans, we call to find out whats the deal, and was told on backorder still. I asked "why didnt you tell us that the light kit was not available on the day we BOUGHT and PAID for the fan and light? ((EVERY TIME you want to follow up with them, you have to all - they DID NOT keep us informed at ALL))-----the ONLY answer we got was call president biden and complain. this is NO WAY a professioanl approach to customer service. we ended up buying a different light kit, so we could have installed and be donw with these people. will not buy from them again. We will purchase our next 4 fans from elsewhere----

Horrible after the sale customer service by Dan's Fans and in particular Stephen. He said the fans would be quiet, they are VERY noisy, even on LOW speed. I went back and was rudely spoken to. He said, " oh well they are high volume fans they will be noisy." That is not my experience with many fans in the past. They are very over-priced and of POOR quality. Go to Lowes or Home Depot. Zero customer satisfaction after the sale. Steer clear of this rip-off joint.

Purchased four Koho fans and had them installed by D.E.C. Electric. They did a fabulous job and the fans are beautiful! Nice and quiet, and move lots of air.
