This local shop is so helpful and patient with young boys who want to learn to fish and a mom who is clueless!! Matt showed my boy how to string the pole and knot with a uni knot. Caleb was honest about the line and reel we had and helped us understand you pay a little more and fishing will be less frustrating! The young guys working there are great! Thank you for being a great example for my son!

I went in to get a reel spool filled. when I entered there was only 1 person in the store. By the time it was my turn 3 more customers came in. Now he won't take care of me. Off to a better service store.

I’ve been coming to Big Boy’s for a few years now, and it’s by far my favorite shop on the Cape. They are always very friendly, and one time even let my young son take a peek at the shiner tank in the back, which was super cool. They always have live bait in stock, I always get good sized shrimp, and I know I’ll snag a few bass when I get some shiners from them. Just an overall great bait shop with a great selection of tackle and baits and helpful employees that will set you up with what you need.

Bought two dozen shiners from these guys, and the water they were in was really cold. Every single one died as soon as they hit the water! I stopped by the store a few days later and told them about the shiner “die-off.” They even looked up my receipt on their computer and verified the date and the purchase. No one seemed to have the authority to do anything about it at that time, so I left my cell number, And asked to have the owner please call Me. No call, $35 wasted! Never go back…. Horrible customer service!

I don't do this often but need to let all know. The most important component of a small business is customer service. Certainly not at this place on this day. Myself and my friends all have had issues at Big Boys before but not equal to what happened to me the other day. I try to help small businesses like this and will continue to do so and really appreciate Fred, but not when I am treated like an idiot when it was clearly their fault. Myself and after discussing over a game dinner with my 8 fishing friends all decided we will move on.

my family and i are visiting this part of florida for the first time and my husband called the night before we came in and asked if they had pintish - they said yes so we decided to come the next day. came in the next day and was told they had nothing. workers in the store were eating pizza and were holding it while my husband asked questions. my husband asked someone if a certain bait was good for this area and the worker seemed uninterested and gave little feedback... like i said , we've never been to this area before so we're just trying to make sure we're buying the right stuff to get the right fish. my family and i never got greeted when we came in and the workers didn't acknowledge us when we left. not a very helpful bait shop

Bought 100 shrimp and 10 pinfish. Looked in my buckets and there was literally 3 inches of water in my bucket with 100 shrimp. I asked for a little more water and they said no, they don't have extra water, sorry. Pretty disappointed in that. Shrimp can't hardly move in the bucket and half of their backs are out of water. Hopefully they survive the couple hours before I can get to water to fish. I know they don't care, what's 1 customer but I will never buy from there again.On the plus side, they do have a wide variety of baits, live and frozen. Plenty of fishing supplies for fresh and salt water. This wasn't my first trip there but maybe my 7th or 8th. They have most of what you need to start fishing or continue.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Lots of fishing gear. If they don't have what you're looking for to go fishing, you probably don't really need it!
