The Official Florida Welcome Center (US-231) is more than a rest stop, it's a one-stop resource for planning your Florida vacation. Certified Florida Information Specialists are happy to assist with travel planning needs, from directions to destinations and up-to-date road conditions. Visitors can take a rest and relax in the air-conditioned lobby, enjoy covered picnic tables and outdoor space, and take a photo in front of the "Welcome to Florida, the Sunshine State" sign. The center offers free orange juice or grapefruit juice, and a wide selection of Florida literature. Visitors praise the friendly and professional staff, who have even provided special attention to children. The facility is clean, has ample truck parking, and has security on-site from 8 pm to 6 am.

The restrooms are always clean. The welcome center closes early which is a disappointment. Beware of the vending machines. They are expensive!
