We had to say goodbye to our 16-year-old cat yesterday - Dr. Humphrey and all of the staff made a difficult experience bearable, They are warm, supportive and caring, with a separate exit door and tissues at the ready. We could not have asked for a less painful experience.

We have been using Jumper Creek Vet, for many years, with many fur babies. They have been with us with our new additions to our families, and when we needed to say good bye to some of our fur babies, through emergencies and routine vet care always with kind, caring, compassionate hearts. There has been very minimal staff turnover, which in my opinion says a lot about the practice and the management. You and your pets always feel welcome and leave feeling confident in the care and treatment received. Thank you for all the continued years of care to our fur babies Dr. Yates, Kristen, Alyssa, Lindsey, Mary,Vanessa, I know I am missing a few other amazing staff, these are ones that just really stick out to me from all the care and compassion they have shown all the members of our family . ?

My 15lb, 13yo dog has been a patient at Jumper Creek for several years and has been in good health. I recently opted to make an appointment to get his teeth cleaned due to his age, not due to any specific issue that he was having. I was aware that because of his age, undiagnosed tooth decay might be found during the cleaning/descaling. Dr. Yates was hired to do the job. He was Only to clean the teeth, nothing else. If problems were found during the procedure, I asked to be called before teeth were pulled. Sure enough, I got a call. A very loose tooth was found. I spoke with Dr. Yates directly, and he wanted to extract 13 teeth. I want my dog to be pain-free but he was eating dry food just fine and had no bleeding in the gums or redness. I was not convinced that 13 teeth needed to come out, and I knew that a dental specialist in Tampa might save some of the teeth. I told Dr. Yates to pull at most 3 of the worst teeth and leave the rest, and made plans to go to the specialist in Tampa asap. A couple of hours later I was paying the bill, not even realizing what had happened. The good Dr. had unilaterally decided to pull at least 12 teeth. There was no way to get a second opinion, no way to save a single tooth. They were gone. Pulled out despite my telling him to remove no more than three. Was it greed? Was it incompetence? Was it arrogance? Only he knows. Two stars because he didn't kill the dog.

The vets and staff are amazing- I’ve moved out of state and I don’t think I will ever be fortunate enough to find such a wonderful veterinarian for my four small dogs- I would take them to the vet for routine annual checkups and emergency situations and was never disappointed by the service- everyone there’sis Absolutely Wonderful- my dogs were never afraid of going in for their visits and treatment- oh how I’m going to miss the wonderful service
