I'm giving 2 Stars for their auctions. You can find alot of great deals at their auction house and the people are very friendly.
However, they are receiving so few stars due to my experience with them doing my Estate sale.
I let 5 Star sale my things which included some very pricy things like wooden and metal lathes, saws and generator, steel tables, John Deer tractor, washer and dryer set, glass business, furniture, chicken coup with 4 laying hens, green egg with custom built table, and so much more. They let some of the most expensive equipment sell for $20 or less. We could have sold the major equipment and tables for a minimum of $200 a piece and made more money than the $1460.10. Look at the pictures and tell me if you think it was a good deal working with 5 Star Auctions.
Lastly, I was already dealing with having to get rid of basically everything I have. I feel taken advantage of during one of the most difficult times of my life when they chose not to keep their verbal agreement. Another company gave me a quote for 30% if I gave them what didn't sell, 40% for not taking off the items left, and $200 per truck load of things going to the dump. Having attended so many auctions with 5 Star before, I trusted them to take everything that didn't sale, yet charge me 40% to take off everything else to the dump. They didn't keep their word. They cherry picked what they wanted to take, left the rest, and did not take the other stuff off of my property.
Learn from my mistakes. Add on any verbal agreement to the contract you sign with them and set minimum bids for your costly items.

Instead of first come first served the seating is all reserved, place is hot as a oven because they put half overhead fans on because older guests are cold, really? Wear a sweater then we cant take our clothes off! How about thinking of the rest of your patrons? Put the fans on! Wouldn't recommend summer almost here.

FYI - 5 Star Auctioneers has bought Brown Auction House and moved to Bushnell. Billy Malone, the auctioneer, was awesome for my on-site auction after losing my fiance' unexpectedly. They were professional, had a wide knowledge of the business, and thoroughly went through everything, sorting for the best prices, power washing and waxing to get the best prices! They respected my wishes and requests. Has a crew that respects him and the clients. Took them at least 2 weeks all day long with 2 people and sometimes 5 or 6 sorting and setting up. Huge thank you to Charlie and his wife Barbara who stayed here the whole time in their camper for set up and security! Earl, the young at heart man was a great mechanic who worked tirelessly to try and get things running for a better price, to Big Bill, strongman, plows through getting the job done and funny as heck, Big Earl, just the same as Big Bill! Billy's wife Sarah; man I dont know how she keeps up with him at the auction writing all items and final prices down! Thank you Lisa, who brought the food at the auction so people wouldn't leave and may I say she makes the best brownies ever! This was staged and set up professionally for success. Luckily thanks to my sister and her husband for letting us use the lots across the street for parking, with at least 100+ people here, and Billy even delivered Porta Potties across the street! I've forgotten the name of the undercover Police Officer that stood at the gate all day checking to make sure no one left without paying.Everyone worked tirelessly without complaining, a true quality TEAM! "Together Everyone Achieves More!" i saw comments people complaining that staff was bidding up items at other auctions...I say so what, they have the right to buy just like you...if you wanted something so badly then bid them up!I cannot thank them all enough as they feel like family after being here 24/7 for 2+ weeks to get a VERY successful auction!

I will NEVER return to this auction. Jack (owner) bid me up TWICE in one evening. Unscrupulous behavior. Isn't it enough that you're getting a commission plus the 10% buyers fee? Greedy owner on mediocre items. Some good competition would put this place right out of business.
