I truly can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Hooks and her staff. I absolutely love them and she always has the animals best interests at heart. I called today because I wanted to know if she thought one of my dogs should gain a little weight and she took the time out of her busy day to have me bring in my dog just so she can look at him in person and tell me what she suggests. I trust absolutely anything she says or recommends. Her staff is also amazing. They are so friendly and are always so patient with my dogs which can be pretty hyper at times. I have had several times where I need to bring one of my dogs in due to them being sick or whatever the case is and she ALWAYS says she can squeeze them in even if she has a slammed day. I appreciate her and the staff so so much!

River Ridge Animal Clinic truly has a special team on their hands. The level of compassion and care they showed toward my dog and I will never be taken for granted and I can’t praise them enough. They take the time to discuss different treatment plans, procedures, and any alternative options that may be available. They want to make sure that you have all the information you need to make the best decision for your pet. Their thorough explanations and open communication they provided gave me a moment of clarity in an otherwise rollercoaster of uncertainty. Not only that, but I truly felt like they looked at my dog and his situation not only as a patient, but also as somebody’s companion and best friend. Can’t thank them enough!

I just wanted to reach out and say thank you to the team at River Ridge Animal Clinic. You all helped us so much to get our dogs health certificate to leave the country. We were in an huge time crunch and they worked so hard to get everything done and it arrived at our hotel perfectly on time. Thank you all again so much!

Showed up at 7:30 when they open with an emergency just to be informed the vet won't be in for another 2 hours. Please help me understand why you're even open at 730? What is a receptionist going to do for 2 hours? Aweful

This vet clinic has no compassion at all! I brought my dog there out of desperation to get him to the closest clinic, but that was a huge mistake. My dog had known congestive heart failure and was having difficulty breathing in the middle of the night. I held him and hoped his condition would improve, but it did not. I went in to end his suffering and he was given sedation via injection, then left for 45 minutes of rapid labored breathing before they came and took him to have an IV inserted. I heard him yelping in the other room. Then he was returned to me to wait for the Vet. The ordeal was 2.5 hours in total. I told the vet upon her entering that this has been a very bad and difficult experience. She promptly told me I was free to leave. I replied that I wanted her to just finish what has been started and end this misery. She administered the medication and he did not pass away immediately. While she was holding her stethoscope on his heart waiting to pronounce him dead she said “I will have my staff give you your records so you can go elsewhere for care in the future!” My dog was dead now, I was holding him in my arms sobbing when she said this hateful statement to me. What care do I need in the future? No sympathy or compassion just absolutely mean and rude. Do not recommend under any circumstances!!!

Thank you for your recommendation to V.E.G. in Tampa off Barass Avenue! My dogs life was saved she ga e me 8 more gorgeous pups. She went through so much that it was a miracle to have her with me today, along with a totaling of 12 babes, 1 loss. THANK YOU, GUYS, FOR SENDING ME WHERE I NEEDED TO GO THAT COUNTS AS LOVE OVER GREED ? ? ?NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A VETERINARIAN OFFICE THAT SERVES THE PATIENT ABOVE SELF! We just moved here and our pup cut his leg really bad in the yard. Dr Hooks came in after hours on a Wednesday, when they usually dont even see patients. We are so thankful for her and her staff. We definitely found our new vet. You guys are the best!! Rhavi says thank you too!
