Paul, the proprietor, is everything you would hope for in a shop owner and operator. Of course he knows his profession, but he also is fair, kind, and speaks with you directly and without a sales pitch or frills. A more honest person is seldom found.
If fixing your stranded car very far from home is a desert of despair and disquiet, then Paul and his shop are a refreshing spring oasis. His prices are very reasonable, as are his timeline estimations.
I showed up with a complete mess of a problem, and Paul’s reaction was calming. We talked through options, and he specifically talked me out of the more expensive ones. Why? He didn’t believe they were in my best interest. In retrospect, I couldn’t agree more.
Writing a glowing review that encompasses all the good this shop did for me while keeping it short enough that you’ll read it all is difficult, but I hope I got the message across: go here.

I reached out to Paul at Hybrid Repair after realizing that most mechanics in the area didn't have the software necessary to work on my 2012 Toyota Prius after the brake actuator broke. My only other option was the Toyota dealership, but they wanted to charge me $200 an hour. Paul took care of the problem for me for almost half the price and was always available to chat and communicate on the phone when I needed to reach out and ask questions. If you have a hybrid and need work, I highly recommend this company.

This guy said he will charge $775 to change a capacitor on the dashboard for a 2008 Prius. Don’t waste your time calling him he charges more than a mechanic shop.

Paul and his dad did a great (and really fast) battery replacement on our 2014 Toyota Prius. Took them about 40 minutes and the batteries were new Panasonic Japanese-made cells. They took my old pack out, and put another in, this replacement pack was previously bench tested and after they put the back seats back in, they hooked it up to the scanner and did a diagnostic test to make sure it was fine. It was. I drove off with no more warning lights and after a few days of driving, all is well. If I have a problem, I know Paul will take care of it. My Prius is 10 years old with 286,000 miles, virtually problem free for the first 245k when the head gasket went bad, I fixed that and did a few more things for good measure (water pump, ABS, and EGR valve service). I plan on putting another 150k on it. The car is phenomenal for reliability and still, in amazing condition, even the fake leather seats are still perfect. Normally I would get rid of a car with this many miles but this Prius is such a great car, I want to keep it. Paul's hybrid battery will FAR outlast my use of the car. Generally, they go over 10 years and often 12-15 years. I think mine only went 10 because a few times I got an indicator light that the old battery was getting hot because the air vent was covered with lint reducing the airflow that keeps it cool. Now I watch that vent and always keep it clean (about every 2 years I clean it, more if you have pets). The other thing that is death for a hybrid battery is not driving the car for long periods of time, a hybrid battery that sits will go bad. Paul was priced about 70-80% lower than the cost of the dealership and about half of the others for a "new" battery, not a refurbished or used pack others sell. I also believe he is around for any warranty questions or service issues as he has a good history. If you want hot coffee and a freshly baked cookie while you sit in a nice lobby and pay an extra $2500 or so for your hybrid battery, go to the dealership. If you want a battery that will do exactly the same thing for you for less, go to Paul. Real friendly and sincere guys, low overhead, they LOVE the Prius (own several) and know the car inside and out. I'll be back.

There’s 3 professions I’m always scared to trust… a doctor, a lawyer and a mechanic.I may have taken years to find the first two but the last, the mechanic, only took a phone call - Paul.I received the “triangle of death” at the beginning of the new year & I instantly panicked. Frantically called around for quotes while simultaneously stressing over my bank account. I told my partner I don’t care if we drive to the 7 mile marker in The Keys (coming from Jacksonville) - I’m not and cannot give Toyota 5k.A few Google’s and SHAZAAM! I find Paul! Paul corresponded with me consistently over the course of 2 weeks and we scheduled me in to bring my 2013 Toyota Prius.Paul and his father serviced, installed the new battery and even topped off the fluids I was lacking within record time!His lovely wife, Tiffany, entertained me and my partner while the guys got the job done and she was even multitasking and putting in work on her moms car while keeping us laughing!I had mentioned a few things I’ve procrastinated over due to cost and hard times (one being my ac), Paul jumped right in and even fixed my ac issue (which was out for two years). I love my car and have for almost 8 years now… Paul had me humming back to Jacksonville with ac and a new battery within an hour thirty for a beyond reasonable and feasible amount! Just incredible.I’m actually looking forward to seeing them all again! And now that Paul has made me aware of certain codes I didn’t know about - I’m sure I’ll be seeing them sooner than later. :)Thanks Paul and family! My experience with this family owned business was top notched! The whole family was there. Ya ya (grandma) helping around the shop was adorable!!! They were a great team, not only did they come in on a Sunday (my only day off) it was done in 2hrs they all pitched in and made it happen! Paul replaced the Throttle body in my 2008 Toyota Prius and my dash lights were not working. Paul is great to work with and honest. When other shops cannot fix or even diagnose the problem. Caution..Ruined Prius...Warranty Worthless look closely fine print! Cheated Disabled Senior refusing to prove replacement parts, Batteries, Pumps lasted 23 Days!!! Total Loss $6,000 only 125k mi!!! At least Refund $350 Half Paid for Failed Job, Invoice Refund, won't lower to your slander! Pay back fair enough!!!
