I meant to write this review a while ago. I want to let all know how wonderful Dr. JoAnn and her vet services are. She and her assistant both are great, I’m having a senior moment and can’t remember assistant’s name, please forgive me. My dog, Diesel, had a huge growth hanging from his chest and he needed surgery badly. Doc did pre-op tests and priced the surgery more than fairly. Plus, considering she came to my house and all I had to do was walk my pup out front. That alone is worth every cent. Diesel has Great Dane in him, so he’s a big boy. But the best part was the care that they gave my boy. Dr. JoAnn made sure that Diesel had all his post-op meds so that he would heal comfortably and well. She called to see how he was doing and answered all my questions. I highly recommend A Vet To Your Pet mobile vet service. Caring doctor, competitive pricing, concerned follow up, and convenient service all add up to complete and caring vet service.

We made arrangements for them to come see our Nala. Dr. Helm was very informative and asked us questions and histories of Nala. She was patient and kind. We knew that we had to let our Nala go. Dr. Helm walked us through the process and even sent us a sympathy card. I would definitely recommend Dr. Helm to anyone that needs a Vet. Thank you Dr. Helm.

What an amazing experience. Dr. Helm was so caring to our dog Dixie. Dixie is so very nervous by nature and has always been such a traumatic experience doing her vet care anywhere else. But, Dr. Helm and her assistance, Amanda, took such a good care of Dixie. Dixie was so calm. We can't imagine doing Dixie's care anywhere else. Thank you, Dr. Helm for such a wonderful, caring and personalized vet care.

I am posting in response to Danielle Neal's review. All her communications with us were to schedule an appointment for an in home euthanasia. When we accommodated her request to reschedule, so the whole family could be there, to the next morning, she never said it wasn't to euthanize her dog. I always evaluate a pet before a euthanasia, I also have never had a client request a euthanasia for a well pet. So I was expecting we would probably be doing what she requested. So when she met us at the door I did have a sedative in a syringe because that is the first step...I did not bring in a euthanasia drug or anything else I needed to perform a euthanasia. The way the conversation was going I figured out that she had changed her mind and wanted us to evaluate her pet and asked her if that was correct. Her sweet dog had multiple major problems, so my evaluation for a suffering older dog was to do diagnostic testing to see if the dog could be helped or let him go. He was not having quality of life in his conditions. His loss of appetite and large weight loss and mobility issues are all needing to be addressed. You can't hardly fix just one. If testing showed you can do a surgery to fix mobility, your not going to do it if your dog is so sick he doesn't want to eat. I know how stressed Mrs Neal was in coming to terms with her dogs issues, the tears you cry, having to deal with family members concerns and opinions too and wanting to do the right thing. I hope she understands and I wish her all the best, Dr Helm

I will start by saying we asked this vet to come examine our beloved pet and determine his quality of life. The vet comes 40 min late (which we understand happens) and when I opened the door she is standing there with a syringe in her hand! Unsure what was in it, but that was the first red flag. I advised her our dog seemed to be doing progressively better and she looked disappointed and says to me, “so we’re not doing this today?” All the while holding this syringe! I was mortified!! Her and her assistant both kept persisting we put him down stating, “he looks miserable!” “Look at him, he’s not happy!” I couldn’t believe my ears. They were both unprofessional, inhumane, no sympathy, compassion or empathy for a family dreading the loss of a loved one! Before booking this vet please think about the love you have for your pet!

Thanks Dr Helm, my 12 yo husky mix was doing very poorly, I thought I’ll have to put him down. Ask her to give medicine to help with his arthritis. She find out that he’s diabetic and is in ketoacidosis, get me syringes and insulin, educate me, I was able to bring his Blood glucose down and he’s doing much better.

A Vet to Your Pet was great during a very difficult time. We had to make the difficult decision to help send our golden over the rainbow bridge. This was on a Friday afternoon. No other vet practice was willing to come to our home to help us in our time of need. A Vet to Your Pet came to our home with such short notice. The vet and his nurse were very nice and caring. We explained the situation and he offered his opinion on the matter. The vet was very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. Even though it was the worst day, we were grateful they were able to accommodate us and provide us with care and compassion. They even sent a handwritten card afterwards. Thanks again.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. She is so compassionate. We wanted to euthanize our puppy at home. She was able to come to us the next day. It went so smoothly, thanks to the procedures she uses. Our baby just went to sleep. We are so thankful to her and her thoughtfulness. She is an angel!!!!!

My experience with this service was terrible. My dog couldn’t see their regular vet on this particular day and she seemed off, so we went with this. After being charged 1k in total for bloodwork, sub a fluids and four meds, I was told to go to the regular vet the next day for sub-q fluid and to just check back in in three weeks. My dog died within hours of being seen. Because she died so quickly there were two medications that were still in sealed, and in one case boxed - containers that were never even opened & were quite expensive (a 4 tablet box and a 20 count bottle). When I called to ask if I could return the medications or receive any sort of discount given that my pup passed so quickly, the answer was a crisp “no”. And that’s one thing, but not a single word of condolence was offered either, not -one- word on how she might have died so suddenly after a CBC, blood panel, fluids etc... but the ABSOLUTE worst is that the only pain relief they gave my dog was one that had to be eaten on a full stomach. She never ate another bite, so never had a bit of pain relief until she died in her crate shortly after. And for that I spent 1k. While I admire what mobile veterinary services provide (especially during these times) I felt it was all just so poorly, so very coldly done. Even a ‘I’m sorry for your loss’ would have been nice. Instead, I was not only mourning, I was angry, confused and sad about the whole experience.

Amazing service!!! I was able to give my dog the ability to pass in his home peacefully! They were very responsive and when no one else would see him last minute when he needed care the most they were there for us! I can not praise this company enough! Thank you so much for the service you provided! It is much appreciated! :-)

Called for service at my home for our 13 yr old Basset Hound that lost use of her hind legs. I've had animals for over 60 yrs and this vet was the best by far. Extremely grateful for this vet staff for a quick response, their professionalism, and courtesy they showed us. Initially thought we were going to have to euthanize our pet of 13 yrs. But no, I believe she will make a full recovery.. Highly recommend this business. Fees were very reasonable as well....

My husband and I could not be happier with Dr Helm and Jonathon. We are new to the area and needed to find a great veterinarian to care for our fur babies. Our Dutch shepherd hurt her back leg and Dr Helm called when she had a cancelation to come sooner. She did a thorough exam and did not try to upsale any unnecessary tests, although, we would have spent anything to help our girl. How thoughtful and caring that was and we are thrilled to say we have found our new veterinarian! Thank you for your care and ?!
